Went last year for Taylor Hicks and he was great as usual. Although I am
not yet sure I can work it out, I am hoping to be able to return for his
performances this year as well. What a lot of fun we had!
Granville Island Palate Promenade in Vancouver Canada - amazing food and drink tasting
Geoff from //geoffmobile.com visits Vancouver Foodster's Palate Promenade for a delicious food tasting event on Granville Island. For more videos, please ...
P.S. Hi Geoff, please correct the link to Jackson's Poultry. The link in
the description box doesn't work. But Google found their new website:

I love the mini Shepherd's Pie at 04:39 I understand all your servings are
super small, because you have to taste a 100 different dishes on a day,
right? Otherwise you would explode like the gourmet in Monty Python's "The
Meaning of Life" ;-) - - The Sake Ice looked also nice. Did it contain
alcohol?
- - I'm currently at minute 5 in your video. Maybe the answer will come
later, but I just ask now: what were the papers about you held in your
hands? Did you evaluate each food? Or was that just a list of the
participating restaurants? And who paid for that event? - - Great video,
Geoff!
+geoffmobilethanks for the additional info! And yes, Geoff, it would be great if we could meet in Vancouver. Unfortunately, I didn't know your Youtube channel before my girl-friend and I visited Canada, otherwise I would gladly have met with you!
Thanks WoggyFlush! Yes it was a fun experience , and usually costs between $40 and $50 CAD for tickets. Lots of fun! We didn't even make it to all the places, there were also more wine merchants and spirits that we didn't try (mostly because I am a very light drinker). The papers were the map of the Island and the restaurants checked off each place on the map when we visited each one. The Rice Cream was made with rice mash which is a product of the sake making process, but I don't think the Rice Cream contained much alcohol. However, I did have a tasting glass of Sake, which I really enjoyed, and that made me feel pretty tipsy for the day. The portions were just right, we got quite full by the end, but it was not too extreme :) Thanks for watching Woggyflush, I hope that if you visit Vancouver again, we can do this tour together in person :) Geoff
P.S. I googled the answers in the meantime. So it wasn't the restaurants who paid for the event (although they could have! because it's their advertising campaign to lure more customers into their places) but you, the customer paid. About 46 Canadian dollars for the admission to 10 participating restaurants, according to the "Tickets Tonight Canada" website. All in all, a fair price. If you visited all the restaurants separately, it would certainly cost you much more. And you have a special variety on the Palate Promenade! Thanks for sharing the experience Geoff.
