How is a BMW X5 an "old piece of shit"? Even after running it through a wall, it still appears to be in alright shape. And at some point in it's life, I can guarantee you it was worth $50,000. Definitely not anymore, but it's still worth more than those laptops. And by the way, maybe you need to dig the silver spoon out of your ass and take things into perspective, because most people's definition of an "old piece of shit" is closer to an 80s Toyota Corolla.

K they all just stole demo units, which can't be restored whatsoever. The whole device is programmed only to run the demo OS, and it can't be restored to the original version. It always stays on demo.

They're idiots. License plate fell to the ground on 0:03 and they just left it there. Because of the license plate, he was immediately busted. On top of that, he got flat tires.
