I agree with both sides. I personally prefer the normal Civ5 earth history type game play too, but you can't deny that this game is a very interesting take on the Civ series
As far as I can hear (I am a Canadian, live in central Canada) Canadians
don't seem to have accents. Or at least, they aren't strong enough my me to
notice them. And by strong I mean like, the Brit's have very strong accents
and so do the Aussies.BTW, Ottawa is the capitol of Canada. Toronto is the
biggest city in Canada (as of the time this comment was posted) but not the
capitol city. You are basicly saying that just because New York is the
biggest city in America, means it is the capitol. Unless of course, you
were joking.
Precis, jag hatar finnar, de gör så ont att klämma |:)
Civilization 5 - Settling Your Capital
The game has started, you've randomed your favorite civilization and it's time to kick some ass! But wait... where are you going to settle? Everyone knows you ...
9:30 so your only reason to move over the river and sacrifice one workable
tile in early game is having the mountain,
as far as im concerned if you settle on the spot you will be able to build
macchu picchu and observatory? (2tile- rule)
i mean yes by moving that one tile you will be able to accquire more gold
fairly early but isnt having 2 tiles with 2 food 1 prod wo/ upgrades better
for the first couple of turns?
+atombindungen You still have an immediate growth tile and another good growth tile in the 2nd ring (which you can purchase from gold from meeting a CS). The mountain and corresponding observatory is very much worth the loss of the deer in the first tile.
+FilthyRobot wow thanks for the fast answer, youre right 2 tile rule only appears to apply to wonders, which noob me forgot. whats your point on the production/food issue though? dont get me wrong im not trying to tell you whats better im asking you for your insight.
+MightyForSure Then you're probably misunderstanding of a game concept, if you just think smart and play average you can win because the AI gets no bonuses on prince
+MightyForSure Try and watch some single player playthroughs as it differs quite a bit from multiplayer (i have learned a lot from watching Marbozirs videos). You don't have to see the whole series, but take a look at the first 100 turns he plays on a couple of videos, that way you'll get a pretty decent idea which tech paths and build orders are the most optimal. A good benchmark is National college with 3-4 cities on turn 100, if you don't have that, then you're doing something wrong and need to evaluate your play. Another great source is www.civfanatics.com, there's a bunch of strategies and tips you can really learn a lot from.Note: national college with 4 cities on turn 100, might actually not be a good benchmark if you're playing on prince, since you'll actually benefit in different ways from having discovered an AI that's more advanced than you. The reason for this is, that on higher difficulties they'll have more gold, which you can get from trading away your excess luxuries + if you discovered a CIV that have researched a technology, the cost of that technology will go down. Hope this helps, and happy gaming :)

I usually go monument, scout, worker, worker, replenish warrior if need be,
construct pyramids before stonehenge and go from there, but like said,
ruins are very helpful, especially getting culture quickly. Although,
instead of honor, I usually rush Liberty for a free great person, another
worker unit and settler unit
@thetomtom360 Totally worth it, 9/10 strategy and puzzle game. 10/10 if you
take time to read tips and don't want to rush till the end. be sure to be
into the game! Create your own civilisation, but slowly grow it with good
strategy, You'll find it way more interesting, Just like Chess or anything!
Why does it matter if the wonder is or isn't a donut? It's a famous piece
of ancient culture, and you're obsessed about it not being a food? Now that
I think about it... You actually may be onto something 0-o
@jefejjmichael "people work hard and for a long time forsomething special.
pay them what they deserve" cant we say the same thing about musicians?
tunes cost a buck , why not give them what they deserve too?
@jefejjmichael let me correct that because some people dont deserve
anything like that you get halft the game and the other 50% as dlc =_= plus
some people dont have the money or already buyed something els
@Jessetor wow dude really? i'm all for illegal music, music is the world's
not people's, but games? people work hard for a long time to do something
special. pay them what they deserve.
If you don't have the money then save up for it. If you have the money,
then pirating it means you are a pathetic person for essentially stealing
something someone has worked hard on.
select a worker and theres a button somewhere in the worker menu that says
en route or something click that and click on where you want to build a
road to
