+Phil Griffiths Thanks bro! I figured it would be a good analogy since people can't really relate. Zebras are horses, but they don't look like them. Humans are most close to bonobos and baboons. Its a good comparison ;)) Cheers.

Can anyone answer this serious question please. i'm not being facetious i
promise...
where i live in yorkshire in the uk there are lots of horses and riders
about. but there are never any MALE riders. why is that? its been
bugging me for years.
thanks in advance.
It's a fact, jack. Horses like women & girls. They don't much care for boys or men. Just the way it is, man! We don't call her "mother nature" for nothin'.
I believe in animal welfare- if animals are being taken care of the way
that that type of animal should be then all is well. But saying what horses
do and do not want- a horse left out in pasture, not ridden, not doing
anything is a sad, bored generally unhealthy horse. Horses need their feet
trimmed every 6-8 weeks, they need to be wormed, they need their teeth
floated, they need mosquito/fly control- they definitely don't need to be
doped up to run a quick circle, I totally agree with you. But too many
folks start talking about what horses need or want without understanding
what they really, as horses, need or want. We domesticated them 6,000 years
ago. To say 'all horses want to be free' is to say the same about dogs and
cats, etc- no flea control, no veterinarian care, no teeth cleaning, just
let them be 'free'. We have a responsibility to horses, after all these
years, to take care of them!!
+Disco Nouvo They can survive in nature, but they do not thrive. Granted horses can become feral more easily than dogs or cats because their food is easily available to them and their is no learning involved to 'catching' it. Just as we have prolonged human life, we have done so too with our pets due to medical research. So yes human intervention increases the life span of an animal. Animals in the wild die much, much sooner than in captivity. To be honest if you want horses in nature with no human intervention, be ready to put down millions and millions of them. Because there is not enough space in the 'wild' for all these horses and just as it is for people, no one is going to pay for something to sit around and do no work. Oh and horses hate being ridden? That's exactly why my friend's horse neighs and runs up to her whenever she shows up to the barn to ride him. Frankly as long as the horse isn't in pain, I don't think he really gives a rats ass about what he has to do.
+Karin Mabry ooh dear. I agree we have a responsibility to horses and all animals to care for them. Unfortunately we don't seem to follow that mandate. Riding horses is bad for them. The racing industry is ruthless in it's approach to breeding and maintaining racehorses and trotters as DR said. Horses survive and thrive running free without human intervention. It's highly egotistical to believe you are their saviour when if you were not there they would thrive in nature.
yes its the truth, i love the horse world and have a huge respect for
horses myself, i did ride in the past and do plan on riding again really
soon, after a huge fall off mine about 6 years ago, but the horse racing
industry is horrible just like any other racing industry, i don't support
the sport anymore, its nasty!! they don't give a shit about their horse,
its all about the money, pumping so much money into their horses just to
win a bloody race for more money and bloody cup wtf really, breaking them
in way to early so their legs break cause their are not fully grown yet,
yes this happens, if you see young horses in races they only get a shorter
life and remember if they are lucky enough to get into these bigger races
like the cup, their are many races they have to go through before hitting
the big races. sad thing the truth horse racing is were you make the most
money in the horse industry and its the most fucked up its ever been, i
mean i was never around when phar lap was around, he was drugged and
murdered...did that even stop anyone no shit it didn't in fact his been
stuffed in fucking museum?? another wtf i will never be part of that horse
racing world again. sorry if this doesn't make much sense, i just hate the
horse racing industry.
kristina is savin herself for her husband. i respect this alot. i dont
think its part of being spoiled. its part of bein brought up with respect
for urself. plus shes half labanese....most arabs do that, its a good
culture, in my point of view.
+WittyKitty Meera The reason women from Arabian parts of the world, or those that are born into such cultures, often cover themselves is entirely down the misogynistic culture. It has been enforced or practiced for so long that it has become "culture" but it derives from nothing more than pure sexism. How many western women choose to cover themselves everyday? Same reason I do not choose to cover myself. Are Arabian women naturally born with an instinct to cover themselves? Of course not, same reason they don't naturally walk behind men, or don't naturally choose to undergo enforced marriage. The idea of free choice in such a matter is absurd, beceause it is enforced and engrained from birth. And to say Islam is "kinda sexist" is like saying Hitler was kinda fascist.
+Jade Cleveland Ⓥ islam is kinda sexist but if a woman chooses to cover because she likes it this isnt sexist this is a choice? just like choosing to wear a short dress
Sexism means that an individual is discriminated based on their gender. The fact that women have to cover themselves up in sheets is sexism to me. The fact is that according to Islam men are above the women, women are seen as second class citizens.
+High Carb Vegan Kochen SEX doesnt un-teenage you. You could still experience all these feelings and not have sex. Is there studies that say you cannot mature until you fuck??? I meet people who over-sex and they dumber than a child
+K Mansa i totally dont agree. we all live in one place but we have different experiences and this creates different attitudes and ur reality is a result of ur attitude. n yea different cultures means different conceptualizations
+Tittle Eye tldr; hate men feminism lol sexism happens both ways deary, but anyhow when did ego come into eco system and being vegan. I never said I knew it all. Good day sir.
I think it's her choice, no need to discuss about it. Fact is though, if that's true, that she's a virgin and never had sex before. And all that, you know, feelings (love, fulfillment, hurt, despair etc) and all the things you need to do and revolve around sex, having a partner, dating, discussions, sharing, responsibility and so forth and forth. So pretty much she's a teenager. I guess that was DR point, if there was a point.
+WittyKitty Meera yes it does! This is off topic but honestly where does this idea of "your own world" come from? we are all living a single existence. your reality MUST be mine in order to have a "REALITY". if you live in your own world woudltn that mean that you are insane?
demonising men is not the answer, cftu if it such a problem in your country move to acceptable one to you. Once you get out of your bubble about men specific to that country, you can see that not all men are players like you stereotype.
+Waterus Substantius yeah i agree most feminist beliefs create problems..but tittle eye isnt being feminist, its really unfair to shame a girl, while be proud of a man. why shamin at all.
+Tittle Eye if u r required then thats not a choice..iwas talking as if u choose to. and yep double standards, thats not good at all, i come from a similar background.
+Tittle Eye i dont think its sexist..its a choice. and if she chooses to marry someone who isnt similar to her, its her choice. whatever floats her boat.
+Waterus Substantius yep i understand. i dont think its a big deal either really, but if a person makes this choice and is comfortable with it, then its their lives, their bodies and shouldnt be rediculed for it. Just as u choose to lose it at a certain time, with a certain person, its the same.
and she is livin in her real world...doesnt have to be similar to urs thats naive realism
Feeding apples to the horses down the road
These two guys, Tucker and a "visiting friend" are in a pasture down the road that I pass all the time. During the season, we have so many apple trees bursting ...
Sorry for the long delay in responding!!! Thank you so much for caring and
taking the time to pass this info along. I would only feed them one or two
maybe a couple of times a week. Now those horses have been sold and I miss
seeing them. It was fun to have them nearly an acre away and see my car and
come a runnin'!
Be careful of the amount of apples you feed them. Horses can develop colic
from eating too many fruits. It isn't pretty to watch and can be fatal. But
in moderation, you'll have a friend for life.
This is a World were Birds Eat Horses- (C) Walking with Beasts
quote i found while watching this series Walking with beasts Propalaeotherium The first episode depicts the warm tropical world of the early Eocene which was ...
I saw this as a little kid, all of Walking With Dinosaurs, and shortly
after all of Walking With Beasts. I'm not sure what I'm more creeped out
by, this video, or the fact that I watched in in kindergarten...
+Zachary Ramirez I watched it in Kindergaarten as well, along w/ Walking w/ Dinosaurs, Chased by Dinosaurs, Wallking w/ Monsters: Before the Dinosaurs, and the WWD special, Allosaurus. I loved them all
Guys stop saying that scientist proved this wrong. It's a theory that
gastornis ate meat. Plus this was before gastornis was confirmed to be a
herbivore.
+Endergaming I read that too and I'm with you on that one: there's no point bollocking people who study the lifestyles of ancient animals. There's none of them left, so it is a lot of guess work (plus, we don't have time travel)
+Mr. Robot I know. I was just playing along with your joke, it just didn't make sense because "Chocobocidae" would technically be a family when you were trying to refer to an individual species :)
+Mr. Robot No. It isn't. There are various species of "Terror Bird". Please specify which one you are referring to. The correct name for the Terror bird family is Phorusrhacidae. Plus, you're not even punny.
