Eating Durian by the roadside in Ipoh Malaysia - (Part 1). Enjoy!!!
My brother, his son and I stopped by a roadside durian stall in Ipoh to eat the durian in Feb 2012 Malaysia. Anyone who drive pass the stall will smell the aroma ...
No, you can smell it from a distance, in a car, with windows all wind up,
aircon turned full blast, speeding through the stall of durian. Durian has
one of the strongest, penetrating aroma, which is why it's not allowed in
many hotels/guesthouse/hospitals etc. I guess the foreigners tongue is not
tune/adapted to the taste, but it is an acquired taste, just like how some
people like blue cheese (which btw smells like a weeks' incubated vomit)
and some people don't. I find durian just meh. haha
Yes! Its really delicious! Its a very exotic taste, hard to describe the
taste really. Durians whenripe naturally, it has cracks formed on the skin
at the top or bottom. The aromatic smell will flow in the air. Foreigners
find the smell is foul and disgusting ! lol
Gymsocks smells like rotten cheese! LOL ! Are you sure durian smell like
that? I think durian only smell after you have eaten it, then your breath,
mouth, etc will stink to others! so don't kiss your gf/love one after
eating durian lol!
Yes its absolutely delicious! Heaven on earth!! You must rty them when you
in malaysia! You can smell them when their skin has some cracks on its top
or bottom.
