The Fruits of the Spirit are “Love, joy, peace, forbearance (patience),
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” Against
such there is no law." (Galatians 5:22-23). Rome's versions are charity,
joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, generosity, gentleness,
faithfulness, modesty, self- control and chastity. Rome replaced Love with
charity. Love and charity are Not even synonyms. The word “love” is Greek
meaning “agape love”. Charity has no meaning of agape. Chastity is added
and has Nothing to do with the Fruits of the Spirit. Chasity is not
engaging in sex before marriage. Restraining from sex would fall under the
fruit of self- control. Modesty and generosity are also added. Rome’s
system deceives many. It appears that Roman Catholicism twists the fruits
of the Spirit characteristics/traits to people and people produce these
fruits. The fruits are characteristics/traits of the Spirit and come from
the Spirit. The Spirit is who produces these fruits. The Fruits of the
Spirit are Not man made!!! Just one of many errors in Rome’s man made
religious system and works based salvation.
i found this a wonderful tool with my confirmandi's. Young teens need to
know what and how the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit appear and play
out in their lives..not just the names and titles. Father Barron please
share who is singing the opening song at the beginning of the tube? One
more request. I have been following your teachings. DVD's and CD's for
years and wondering when and if you might do something specifically for
teens and young adults? They could so benefit from your gifts and talents.
I am a clinical psychologist by profession but my love and commitment is to
exhorting and teaching our youth as well as competing another masters in
theology at the Sacred Heart major Seminary in Detroit ..I have great trust
the Holy Spirit will guide and direct me from there!
Love and appreciate your work and continued efforts to reach out to fellow
Catholics as well as those seeking to know and love our Lord and God.
God Bless. Julia Czarnecki (Michigan)
