Lol. Totally! Altough he kind of heterosexualized the car with his mods,
and the babes at the one section...except the ghastly appearance still
suggests gayness. The 06+ MX-5 is a little more masculine though. A LITTLE.
I give you lots of credit on the car... but I give you alot of respect for
actually drifting that thing lol with 500hp on a miata.. i know thats a
task.. even stock ones can be a handful if the diff. is aftermarket

I call big fucking bullshit on 460whp. And the title says 500. If you've
got 460whp and can only pull a 12.9 then you cant drive, or you did it on
street tires. You should get those number on 280whp.

+Jacob Sami I do the same with mine.its a pain when the wheel is upside down then I grab the stick so I to use both or just the stick.When I ran at the track 1/4th mile i ran with the car stock with just a K&N filter.I ran 16 flat all day when in drive or stick or paddles.Mine is slow off the line but when I hit 4 K RPM it takes off best run 16 flat at 99mph at the end.The good thing is you can shift up or down with 1 arm left or right.Im Disabled and with my bad back a clutch hurts to shift so i wen't with the automatic 6 speed. I do miss all my old race cars 70 SS chevelle 74 RR 78 trans-am and many more cars.Time to beef up my MX5 2008 with just 15k miles on it.
+Z Ims Ummm....Okay, The steering wheel has paddle shifters of course, but they are not set the traditional way,( Right for shifting up and left for shifting down), instead both right and left back paddle shifters shift up and there is two small up front shifters on the steering that shift down, look it up. anyhow, i prefer as many other people also to use the Manual mode stick instead, the stick is a little stiffer by the way and whether you shift aggressive or take it easy on the shifter, that is up to the driver and his car right ;-), the bad part about having your hands on the steering wheel at all times is sharp turns (encase you want to downshift on a turn ), but if i am going a straight line then yes i prefer to use my steering wheel shifters, and maybe i just simply suck LOL.
+Jacob Sami Even with a manual you don't fondle the stick. Shift. Hands back on the wheel. Shift, hands back on. Does that thing have paddle shifters? Your hands shouldn't even leave the wheel then.
Yes it is an Automatic with Manual shift mode, Basically I'm shifting without the clutch, I drive Manual and love it, this is my daily driver & this is to show those with Automatic cars they can enjoy it as well. People have their own preference on driving it on Auto mode or Manual mode, I switch between the two. but choose Manual mode to decide when to shift or downshift. Enjoy!
How much was this setup ? I am looking for some inexpensive ways to get
more power of my NC without going for FI. Your looks good, I would've gone
for the manual though :)!
+Jacob Sami okay, thank you for your answer ! I don't have the money for FI, besides since it's my DD I am worried of the performance in snow and drop on MPG with FI. I can see you've fitted a CAI, did you notice any improvements in power just by installing CAI alone ? They are kinda inexpensive, but there are people on various forums debating wheter it is a myth or not.
I would of gone for the manual but that is another story, the setup will cost $1400-1500 in parts and Labor depends on who you know ;-). eventually FI is the best way to go as you get used to the power. but i enjoy the fun driving especially with the upgraded suspensions mods i have.
Have you noticed much of a difference in power with the exhaust, intake,
and tune? People claim that these mods will add as much as 30 horsepower to
the stock 165 (flywheel).

Hi, your best investment will be in the Header and tune first, the intake is just the icing on the cake really,as it provides minimum power that you won't feel, tho most will go for the intake for the looks or sound, The stock intake on the Miata is really good to be honest, The mid Pipe (catted mid pipe ) and exhaust is some extra ponies, Now,if you have the CAI, Header, Mid pipe and exhaust without the tune, then you will feel loss of low end torque or a sense of sluggishness right below 3k RPM, anything above 3K-3.5k power starts to kick in, now the tune sorts most of that out and you won't feel the loss of power/torque on the low end much, so i highly recommend a tune right away to benefit from the whole setup , after the tune i still see power kick in right after 3k RPM and above, which makes it fun to drive on manual mode of course, on AT it shifts smoother and quicker,manual cars may benefit even more especially if they do the EcuTek Tune Package, i did a standard bench tune because i was advised the EcuTek package might not be of benefit for the 6AT cars, i never did any dyno to be honest but it sure feels like i got 25-30HP easy out of it, soon..a nice SC...soon
