Yes, technically and legally he is doing nothing wrong - but cycling in the middle of the lane when the road is so wide, and then when the road narrows, not selecting the segregated cycle lane, is frustrating.
As far as the 3rd clip goes, even if you run a red light to allow a
flashing blue light vehicle through, you're still breaking the law by
running that red light, regardless of circumstances, and can be prosecuted
for it.
+rattieboy82 if it's safe to do so, you'll never get prosecuted for it. In this clip, the driver panics - the light was green the whole time the police car was approaching, so running the red could have been avoided completely
+Darren Martin I'm guessing by your term 'fire tender' you live in the USA, but these clips are from the UK where it IS illegal to run a red light, even to move out of the way for emergency services, I know it is because A: I live in the UK & B: I've looked it up to check. What's to say you running that red light doesn't cause an accident in itself? You can't anticipate other road users especially on blind junctions.
+rattieboy82 That's bollocks. If the Emergency Services instruct you to go through a red light to make way for them then you won't get prosecuted for it. Besides I'd rather be prosecuted than think that someone could have died because I didn't move forward when the Emergency Services instructed me to do so. Just a few seconds can mean the difference between life and death especially if you are holding up an ambulance or fire tender.
I've been watching a few driving videos because I'm coming home to the UK
this spring with the plan of hiring a campervan and doing a bit of a tour.
I last drove there in 1987! In the intervening years I have driven in the
Middle East and for the last 17 years I've been in Indonesia. To be honest
the type of things that happened in this video almost didn't register with
me they were so minor. Obviously, I'm going to have to lose the bad driving
habits I have picked up over the last 28 years. In the meantime I should
make a video about the Bad Drivers of Jakarta.
Sorry but half the shit and dangerous driving here is performed by the
dashcam car. Like near the end.... The bmw undertaking. Are you seriously
going to risk such a large accident just to make your point? Either that or
terrible lack of awareness and observation.
+Pete The guy was going like double the speed limit and veered around me at the last second. I appreciate there's no rear view but how you can possibly say that was dangerous driving on my part is beyond me.
Doesn't matter if a copper's up your arse, if a camera catches you jumping
the red light you'll get a ticket - and there's a camera visible on the
left-hand side.
+Haunter Just seen this. Firstly, it was a green light to start with. If he'd just gone through the junction the situation wouldn't have happened. Secondly, if a policeman tells you to go through a red light, you go through the red light. Not that it matters, but at that junction the camera only points straight ahead.
Bad Drivers of SW London 5
A compilation of bad driving, bad cycling, randomness and observations around W and SW London. Enjoy!
02:41 - you sound your horn and shouldn't have: it's not there to punish
other drivers for their behaviour.
03:04 - that's what the horn is for!At least you put some of your mistakes
on, too. We all make them!
Done! I love Vancouver, so looking forward to watching your videos

A few examples here of what not to do. The cyclist crossing the entrance to
side road is an interesting point. Clearly the cyclist should not be on the
pavement. If he had been pushing the bike, he would have had priority -
it's a little-applied rule in the Highway Code: pedestrians crossing the
entrance of a side road into which you are turning have the priority.
Generally, you should not terrorise people crossing the road - you have to
share the road with all road users, be they vehicle drivers, pedestrians or
dogs.
+SW London Bad DriversThe rules says "... crossing the road ..." which is a bit ambiguous. I agree that the cyclist deserves everything that's coming his way - let's hope no-one else is injured in the process.
+Nicole K I get what you're saying, but (a) that rule only applies to pedestrians and in this case it was a cyclist incorrectly riding on the pavement, and (b) it only applies if they have already started crossing the road. The cyclist looked behind, saw me indicating left, but carried on anyway. I'm just glad I was able to stop in time, as it could have ended more seriously.
S.W. Ontario, perfected strain for Ontario Great Lakes basin factors.
Sativa seeds from the Latino community working the fields throughout Ontario's tobacco belt around the mid-fifties, left the strain behind after the local teens ...
Wow, a lot of crazy drivers...I'm not meaning to be ignorant or anything
but why are the roads so narrow there in UK? I'm from USA and our roads are
wide as ever!! Even our side streets are wider than your main roads.
+Robbie Hernandez We don't have as much space! Especially in London and other big cities, the roads and buildings date back hundreds, if not thousands of years - so no room to expand.
Occupy Confronts Mayor of London Oct 27th *The Indignats*
I remember the whole shape of it was a circle and was bright green, with a
red light at the bottom of it, and was in the sky still, for about 5
minutes and flashing brighter and then getting smaller, it was from my eye
view as big as a beach ball.it wasn't a drone
Any ideas what this is? this week i saw it again, but this time it traveled
over the house, grey circle flashing and turning red and then grey, i will
post that video as well.
