The Stryker is garbage anyways its more like a LAV 2.5 then a LAV 3. The Stryker has the narrower wheel base and less powerful engine that the LAV 2 has plus all the extra armour and armaments that the LAV 3 has. Thats what makes it get stuck so easily and so tippy. The LAV 3 we use up here in Canada is a different vehicle it has a far larger engine and a wider wheel base. The clips you see here of a LAV 3 going through mud missing wheels and crap, the American Stryker won't do that at all.

Thats a couple of canadian designs as well as the LAV-25 (25mm bushmaster chain gun), LAV-AT (Anti Tank) and then the stryker (LAV 3). For the most part, frosty4700 is kinda right, the older LAV's are kinda rickety but... they do the job. They can roll with a couple wheels missing. Not so good against IED's but, they do well against some RPG's and most small arms fire. As for the whole "log across the road" thing... they're pretty dam good off-road and a TREE wouldnt stop us from rolling on

There are attachments I have seen them hell one of my friends said that you can kill tanks day in and day out with the the Crvt7 launcher stating that he saw and LAV-III take on and kill 2 Taliban T-34's at 2km with the IR missiles and then the lav preceded to hit bunkers with unguided versions (note CRVT7 although can be used as an AT weapon is meant for bunkers and buildings and can kill a T-72 at up to 5km) take a look around for a video of an LAV with those launchers on the sides

I am sure what you say is the truth but do not remember ever seeing a Stryker stuck in Lewis. Personally the travesty is not able to fly a whole brigade to anywhere in the world in 4 days when no one ever did the math for how many planes would be dedicated to flying five brigades to the war zone. Slat armor does not allow for this and not enough dedicated planes for Strykers. At nleast the Marines are amphibious and we are not. Am sure Don Rumsfeld made a pile of cash in the markets

@889900ism Well, depends what you mean. It's faster then a Bradley if it's speed. If you mean which is a better fighter, Bradley is also a Tank Destroyer, so it's most likely that the American M2/M3 Bradley would win that. Your never going to see this beat a T-72 or any Main Battle Tank for that matter, but the Bradley did it during Desert Storm. Of course, this could run away from a tank so easily...

Camera watch you, phone hear your communication, pc watch your activity, tv influence you, satellite keep a eye on you.. This is not a FREEDOM. This is a fake FREEDOM. I think it's great that the U.S. have bought these, as they have been great vehicles for many many years. It was funny that some parts of this video are almost identical to Mowag's (the original European inventor ) promotional videos lol. If it works, it works, and there was no need for the U.S. to try to better the original.

Well... this is old :P I (in my total of 0 secs in the military) have never seen a picture or video where the Lav-25 or Lav-3 with at weapons attached. In fact, the only time the possibility was suggested was in BF2 and BF3. I'm sure it's possible... But it's also possible to beat an F-22 with a Sopwith Camel :/

there are attachable AT weapons on the USMC and Canadian army LAV's such as 4X 2 CRVT7 launchers you can equip them with IR trackers to make it into a long range AT missile for cheep and effective, or Tow missiles and or javelins among other things. anything you can put onto the Bradley you can put onto and LAV.

The Bison is the original LAV1, it uses a different engine (Detroit Diesel 6V53T) and minimal electronics. It is also used as a Mobile Repair vehicle for EME. There is also the newest LAV3 which is superior to everything listed, and more superior than anything the Americans use.

Nothing is perfect take enough explosvies in the right configuration you can take out a MBT..might not destroy but throw a track and your mobility is gone. I build better armor you build a better warhead...game of cat and mouse..and it gos on and on and on.

Nope not a ADATS,. It was baige color..we only paint ours olive drag. (AFGAN proves enough time in the sand and it sticks and even olive green under neith stil looks baige :D) . The missels weren't in tubes like on an ADATS so proably USMC variant.

@Orthodoxcrusader NO I mean ABS. In the vid at 1:25 they show it skidding around without abs and stopping straight with it. Traction control isn't even mentioned in this video and for the record an 8 wheel vehicle really wouldn't need it.
