+markpaulene1966 Good observation on my hammer clutch @ 5:05 of the video. Here is the reason for this type of hold on the hammer. The tool I am imitating is a punch press. Not owning one, I use the hammer to provide a sharp impact close and on top of the hole punch. If as you suggest, I held the hammer on the far end of the handle as though I was driving a nail, the chance of hitting a glancing blow is greater. A bad or inaccurate punch or worse yet, a slip or miss will result in injury. It was a good observation but not correct. Tools can be held in many ways to achieve different results. Today I hope you learned something from the old man.
