along with my other game favorite "Monopoly" and they were both very fun
games. I didn't know you could play Life at a pub?
+Coach It's cool if you don't like a certain school/program but please, at least be knowledgable of what you speak. First off, Jabari clearly has weight issues. Now I agree that the Duke staff should've found some way to better control Jabari's weight, but it's not their fault he has a weight issue. No one can control what Jabari eats but Jabari. As you saw, Jabari showed up 250+ for an NBA workout despite no longer being at Duke and working with other trainers. That's not Coach K's fault by any means. Jabari has all the resources a kid can ask for. He simply has to get his weight under control. I am a huge fan of his but can admit this. And as far a your second post, you're criticizing a NPOY who was the number 1 NBA pick (Brand), a national champion (Boozer), a two time NDPOY and top 5 pick (Williams), and another national champion who happens to be Duke's all-time leader in steals, and minutes played, and second in assists (Duhon). He's also the 2nd winningest player in Duke history. Therefore your examples are horrible. Boozer was never a slob. Always in great physical shape. Can't believe you said that. Bottom line is, it's a short list of basketball programs that are better than Duke for 1 year or otherwise. Kyrie Irving was featured during his only year and went number 1, Rivers was featured (maybe somewhat to his detriment) and went top 10, Jabari just was frosh of the year and the number 2 pick, and Rodney Hood was also featured and went 1st round. Oh, and if you're really a native Chicago guy, you should take a go and see what Jahlil Okafor looks like now. Far from being fattened up by the Duke staff.
+Coach Just because you weight a lot doesn't mean you're overweight. I mean LeBron is supposedly 270 but has a 6.7% body fat. There's a huge difference also, he knew he would be playing in the post, so why not beef up. Also, It isn't the coaches job to make players stay healthy, it's the player's and the trainer's job.
I'm from Chicago and I'm a Jabari Parker fan. I've followed the kid since his 8th grade year, back when he was short and chubby then shot up to 6'6 (which helped him slim up) but he gained all the weight back as a junior in HS. He didn't gain weight at Duke but shouldn't he have lost weight? I mean i'd make sure that my superstar student athlete was in better condition than he was when he first came to me. And if you're a true duke fan then you'd know Coach K does this all the time. Elton Brand weighed 285lb when he left Duke. Carlos Boozer came into Duke as a cut up 6'8 PF and left there as an over weight 280lb slob who had to lose 40lbs before the start of his rookie year. Shelden Williams is another guy who gained over 20lbs of flab while at Duke. Oh and Chris Duhon, just to throw in a guard.
+Coach But Jabari gained weight in high school from when he broke his foot and couldn't do anything for 6 months. Of course you're gonna gain weight. Also quit believing everything you hear and see. Jabari didn'yt gain weight at Duke, did you see his pre-draft workouts. You must be a UNC fan.
yeh because Duke does such a good job of prepping players for the pros. Have you noticed how fat Jabari Parker is or nah? Should Coach K and staff have tried to help trim him down instead of just using his talents for their own gain? He'll probably do the same with Okafor. I can't figure out for the life of me why anyone even goes to Duke for one year. would be a great place to get a degree from but a terrible place to learn basketball.
