Although the 86 is designed to drift, still I think not many drifter can do that stunt especially when the 86 is stock(ie the car is still heavy with only 200hp) and the space between the cones are small. さすがテンク・ジャンさん。

He has the skills. But those stock tires are actually very terrible. If they were equipped with more grippers tires, he could not have easily pulled that off.

+snooz510 i found him on facebook this is what he told me "i'm using Toda Racing AE111 high com piston 81mm, 288 9mm cam, valve spring, ported head, full engine balancing. running RON97, the most important of all, the coil pack, Splitfire SR20 coil." hes running stock size headgasket. but later on the oil pump failed. so add upgrade oil pump gears to your list lol

RZsupra, there's no such thing as a NA 450-500hp 4age; even the highest tuned f20c's, make 320 hp at most NA. I don't know of any 1.6-2.7 liter 4 cylinder motors making this much NA, you're talking about 281hp/liter at least for the 450 hp figure. BTW, if you're talking turbo, inlinepro, has an f20c easily making 750RWHP at 30psi with at least 10psi left... This is to the wheels... I don't know many if any 4age's making that kind of power. ptdude805 is correct about the hasselgren

i know a lot of people might think this way but the best cars made by toyota that can do every type of racing is the supra and ae-86 mostly followed by the altezza i really hope they change there minds and bring the supra back to life i wonder if the head of toyota would listen to us and bring back the supra if we improve on the supra and give them the choice out of 100 supra to use as the next bad ass supra. do u think they would say yes to that jesture ?

people do put SR20 into 86s alot. and ive seen a few 1J/2JZ 85/86's aswell... but Rb20? whats the point? they are heavier than f20c, and very old engines. its about weight balance when putting in a SR or F20C with that extra bit of torque. A AE86 is a very light car so not much power is needed to get the tyres spinning therefore putting a light torquey engine is best to keep the original nimble-ness of the car with extra power. my opinion

Total waste of money unless the engine was little or nothing. A 16v 4ag could have been fully built for this Hachi. We have built many 4ag's and DO know you can get alot more power for the dollars spent on this motor...Hell, could have even boosted it for less than spent on the money. Unless you are a Honda fan, I find this a pointless job. But the install looked clean :I

@bLoodykNuklz most competitive drifting is over 30mph controlled skids as well. whats wrong with driving a car hard too? rally messes up cars pretty bad, and anyone who really enjoys drifting will drive a chassis past the point of anything resembling alignment. any type of racing destroys cars and engines, thats why it costs money.

I have to stand behind you on this one. My 240 has the stock KA24DE (94) and I have done EVERYTHING under the sun to the engine EXCEPT forced induction and untuned Im looking at 285 to the rearwheels on the dyno. And to bikutorukun, I think this is that same car throughout as it progresses down the evolutionary chain.

Hey thretto, nice mechanical work you've got hear. Was trying to listen to the F20C installed in your AE86... but since the audio gets muffled when recorded, am i hearing the engine sound correctly? The F20C still sounded a bit like an original 4AGE? Could it be the exhaust system and pipework that caused this?

Eh, I don't quite get your 4A-GE-to-F20C swap. The Toyota 4A-GE is a reliable powertrain in the first place. I don't really see the point in swapping it for the S2K's F20C engine. It's just money wasted that could've been put to use in modding the original engine, to me.

i really hope your joking... a hasselgren high strung 4ag makes about 240 hp and thats a $30k engine. the f20 makes that and more torque stock. the f20 is a way better starting point. oh yeah i'd trust honda oem over anything any day of the week, and i'm a toyota guy.

good luck getting anywhere near the same power as an f20 with a 4age. i love 4ag's but the weak point of their na ability has to be the power for sure. still one of my favorite engines for the ability for mods and throttle response though.

dude that's just the cost of the motor. Don't forget transmission and just about custom parts everywhere. A Honda motor isn't exactly designed to fit in a Toyota so you're ganna need some work. It's deff ganna cost more then 5 stacks.

hachi rear end cannot handle turbo power, so SR is not the best choice, btw honda red top engines r MUCH better than toyota and nissan.

drifting was pretty awesome. i love mountain videos! i noticed the passenger side door moves quite a bit. is there any reason why you wouldnt use like a trunk clamp or something to help keep it tight?
