Excellent work. I'd have you to do HDPE baffles vs. MDF but other than that... really great work!

+SoundscapeCarAudio Smart move. I take out MDF baffles from time to time that look like hell, even coated in bedliner. "My speaker is blown, I bought $2,000 speakers to replace it, can you install them?" "Sure" Take off door, see shitty baffle, put speaker on bench, sounds fine. Replace baffle, sounds fine. Speakers generally need to stay screwed into their baffle to, you know, not sound like poopy pants. Anyway, so much better job than that guy's videos he's in NYC or whatever and he screwed in some Walmart kicker speakers directly to the metal like a complete 'tard and you could tell it sounded like shyte in the YouTube video. I did an active 3-way Stage 4 Pioneer setup in mine and had it tuned by Scott of Hybrid Audio and it was crystal. That midrange fits right in the stock hole for the tweeter, then you make A-pillars (the right one is a billion dollars and pains in the butt to finish due to the handle, but worth it to get the tweets setup right). Too bad they don't make that kit anymore.

We have been using composite materials in our values 100% over the last year. it used to be an upgrade option, but now it's standard!

how did you silence or lower the seatbelt ding when you first turn the truck on. Iam using the stock radio and the ding is amped through the speakers. Very loud ding at startup until you put your seat belt on

+KristianMihailin If you set your gains properly to about 3/4 volume (one notch or so below where stock radio distorts) and then set gains one notch before they distort, you shouldn't have an issue. I never did.

But isn't the signal that comes out of the stock HU not analog? So it's actually a 3/4 DA system? Or am I wrong?

That's true. The Full DA architecture is what we are referencing here. The connection between the processor and the Voce amplifier is a full resolution, full tilt signal transfer. The signal to the factory amplifier from the headunit is MOST over copper which, though digital, we have no interface for. On many vehicles with MOST over fiber we can use an interface that strips the audio out and feeds it directly to the processor. In this particular build, a digital media server like the Bit Play HD or an Apple device with an iStreamer type adapter will make it 100% digital.

Thanks for all the hard work you guys! Love my new system! Dan and his team were experts in understanding what I was after, and made it easy to pick the right system for me and my new truck... Next a bit Play, right? Brian

Thanks Brian! It's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it right? Look for an update on the Bit PlayHD soon. I think those things we talked about are about to blossom.
