Winnebago Man
A man named Jack Rebney is Winnebago Man. These are the outtakes and tirades pieced together by the video crew Mr. Rebney hired to assist in making a ...
+Mona Ransom Actually, it probably is. Long before Youtube even existed, there were VCRs and the original tape somehow got lost. Someone at Winnebago got their hands on the tape. His friend copied and sent it to another friend. That friend saw, copied and mailed it to another friend. And that's how it went viral in those days. Then along comes the Internet and then Youtube. I recall this being among the first videos I've seen on Youtube so you're right, it was probably among this site's first uploads! It also was one of several videos that brought about the term "the video's gone viral!"
+Mona Ransom It is, in a way. See the documentary "The Winnebago Man" on Netflix, among other places. These were out takes on tape that made the rounds before the internet. Jack used to work for CBS news, and is actually quite intelligent and articulate. He quit his job on principle and got stuck making this sales film in 100 degree, humid weather.

I turn away people who want to buy a car at invoice price. You know what I
say? I say; "You can definitely buy a car at invoice price. Come up with
about $30 million and make business with a manufacture of your choice, open
up your own dealership, and then sell all your cars at invoice :D
This would have worked well 20 or 30 years ago. Now days with internet
customers come in with all the information they need and the only questions
is " can you match this price and this finance rate" if you say no then
goodbye. This tactics can only work with uniformed customers which there
are a quite a few out there but give another 10 years and anyone trying to
work this strategy will be out of business. The guy doing the video is a
really good instructor though.
Jesus Moreno.. I don't care what others say Ive been selling cars for 2 yrs
and at my dealership all we use is this method... and I sell 25-30 cars a
month and make very good money and as for the rest of the posts.. its not
tricking the customer its just showing them what it takes to buy a car and
showing them what theyre car is worth... If they cant do something the
dealership will always do what it can. But if youre a customer looking at a
35000 car and need a 300 payment your on the wrong car now if youre lying
to the salesman and know you can do more who is the dirtball..? and I have
tons of repeat customers
Depends. Finance is a good gig but the thing about warranties is that they can always be cancelled. Finance isn't a promotion it's just a different job remember that
+Zech Ziegler Hi, I'm glad you are doing great. That's awesome! I'm starting with a dealership in about few days and I'm excited. A question: Do you think car sales is slowly getting better with the economy? What have you experienced for the pas two years?
The Salesman in You. Tap into the Salesman in ALL of US
So connecting with people is the key to successful salesmanship. I never
thought of that. Thanks Bruce you have really opened my eyes. I really
believe I can sell, now.

Who would want to buy a car from that ugly fat slob in the white shirt. On
the other hand, the guy with the blue shirt looks so neat, he should be
selling Ferrari's.
+CommonGoalGroup - Good for you! The Car business can teach you many things that you will need to learn in order to become a business man. This video was just us having a little fun in the showroom at the local Cadillac, GMC, Buick store. The first thing you need todo is pick which dealership you would like to work with. Pick a Automotive Brand that you like this will help out when its time to build value in the product your selling. 2nd go to the dealership that you have picked and talk with a few sales people. Better yet go to the store and take a test drive! Its important for you to make sure the store will be a good fit for you. I've seen many people go to work at a dealership and end up hating there job, because either they don't like the brand or did not match up well with the employee's. Also see what the pay plan is for being a salesman and what kind of bonus plans they offer. You can make a ton of $ in the car biz if your at a good store! P.S - Don't always listen to other sales peoples opinion of that store. Sometimes sales people will try and be negative so you won't work at that store. Reason is they don't want you out sell them and take money out of there pocket. Also if that salesman is not a high producer he or she is not making enough money to be happy. You control your income in the car business and if you set personal goals and work hard to hit them you will do great!
