How to install Raspbian fully on an external hard disk drive from an image file downloaded from raspberrypi.org. "/" will be installed fully on an external hard disk.

Yes the device names are unpredictable each time you plug it in. And also possible when you leave it plugged in and you reboot. Can't change that. However you can identify each hard drive with the help of UUIDs. I'm sure you've heard of udev. Also you should be familiar with /etc/fstab. In Debian Linux you'll see in /etc/fstab: UUID=f7e11a837-5594-929d-384e-4a5f5c45d4b4 / ext4 1 1 Try to get an understanding of those first.

THX for the info. Maybe you can help me. I want to use multiple harddrives via an USB hub. The problem is that the dev names some times change. So harddisk 1 sometimes is /dev/sda, but after a reboot it can be /dev/sdb. How is that resolvable?

@asus3571 You may want to do some research on the net about RAID, as its not classed as a type of Hard Drive, A Raid between 2 Drives (A mirror RAID) is what i am using with these 2 drives, essentially what this does is creates a backup of the other disc on the fly, so if one of the driver crashed or dies, i don't loose any data. Not having a RAID system is not having a Backup and therefore your could loose your Data if your drive crashes

I have a macbook and have a mybook western 1TB type external hard drive and wanted to know is there a way to install it in inside my mac without taking out the one that came with the mac I want to have both my external drive and the one with my mac both inside my macbook can I do it ? I know you can take apart the external drive and take the drive out of the cover but wanted to know if can have it the one that came with my mac?

Ok question. I have done RAID before the moment I got my PowerMac G5. Apple is extremely user friendly when it comes to striping. My question is, what is the benefit of doing this vs buying an external HDD (3TBs are going for about 140 by me) and using a program like Carbon Copy Cloner or Super Duper and mirroring the drive that way

@Googlecow456 one i cant put 2 3.5" drives in a laptop, u cant even put 1 3.5" drive in a laptop, so u can shove that idea up ur ass. Steam is coming to mac and the majority of games on pc u gan get on mac without windows smart ass, how about you finish school before u believe you have any idea about life

okay let say I already have 1 hardrive running vista home basic and i have a spare 40gb hard drive with a different name. I want plug in the 2nd harddrive without installing and os on that harddrive to run with 2 harddrive in 1 primary for both hdd without raid array it is possible

@Mastersun88 Unfortunately you can only have one 2.5" Hard Drive in a MacBook, or MacBook Pro, although you can take out the optical drive (DVD Drive), and put in a second Hard Drive but that is a difficult process.

@FSXHD92 thanks, it probably would be but if you want more drive space and a evan safer solution i would recommend a Drobo although it all depends on your budget. overall it is still a good system for small things.

@masta7100 its just called a RAID+ enclosure with f/w 800, u just have to look out for the box, Lok at the unboxing video, if u want it, it has no website soo im really not sure

So here is tutorial how you can "slam" your cars on GT5 v2.13.( Make car as low you can in GT5 ) My HxD settings are 24 bytes per row and byte group size 4.

Should always backup to a folder on ya pc / laptop or don't delete your backup and only delete the data your rewriting/hacking :) i've had it work and sometimes not.sometimes I reboot my Ps3 after deleting gamesave and copying back from memory stick.Also I've had it not load freeze at certain point and load other times.Another thing is to get into the game and get into an unhacked car or change your settings to B or C in settings sheet so cars bhp is realistic then swap back just before racing

Also I swap to B or C before saving again and don't get game freezes on load/startup. Its risky and remember to look at the TOP of the sheet where FF FF FF FF (NO SPACES) was typed and see if your tuning A , B or C Settings. You can alter PAINT CODES TOO try 00BC05E0 in paint and 00 00 00 00 (NO SPACES) in colour .MORE>> 00BC05E0 01AA0D50 (Ch) Aurora 5727cc paintchip. This chip changes color depending on the location/light.(Has a random factor reference to Aurora Borealis/Aurora Australis)

Jannepanne, can you please slam/hellaflush and remove wing on a supra for me please? I don't understand hex and it don't work in gt5 editor anymore. Psn is im_a_car_fan .I want realistic hp (900 - 1250 hp). I will give you anything on gt5 for it (like paints and stuff). Please :)

Why no back up save before editing it??? since if you aren't sure what you are doing it fails for 99% sure. Backup your save first. After that delete your main gt5 save and leave backup save what gt5 creates, start gt5 and it ask do you want use backup?and click yes.

Alrighty, on Nextgenupdate they gave a pretty good explanation on the new version of "Hp hacking" which is changing the turbo value. So what I got out of this is.... there's no way around the massive bhp gain. It's either Garage Editor or nothing.

I don't bother do hp tutorial since there is lot of them :) But when you multiply your hp with FF FF FF FF you can but parts on right order to get good hp. If that doesn't help, you can use power limiter, but usualy it gives shit power range.
