Can anyone give me a link for what NYT has to say for what United States
has done to Iraq and Afghanistan? Just let us check the fairness of the the
great NYT.
+Manab Biswas USA destroyed afganistan n iraq..it is only India who did some devolopement works over there..ask any afgani who will answer you with proper information..
Everyone is talking about Gujarat riot. Why they were silent about
Afghanistan and Irak, where every day 1000 of Muslims dying because of US
intervention. If Modi is responsible for slaughtering 2000 Muslims, then
Bush and Obama is responsible for slaughtering millions of Muslims in
Afghanistan and Iraq. Why NYTimes silent about that?
These are one language speaking Europeans talking from one of the 3
occupied continents of the world - North America, the other 2 being South
America and Australia. I would like to ask these Europeans a few questions:
1. If you are a good human being, why don't you leave for Europe and give
back the continent to the owners - the Cherokees, the Lakotas, the Navajos
etc.
2. How many Americans did American Prez. Andrew Jackson murder in 1838?
3. What happened to Md. Mosadegh of Iran in 1953?
4. What happened to Salvador Allende of Chille in 1973?
5. How many times did you try to assassinate Fidel Castro and failed?
6. Why did you supply weapons to Saddam Hussein during his 10 years long
war against Iran?
7. Did you feel chilled about 1.2 million Iraqis killed with 400 Tons of
depleted Uranium? They were killed because you Euro_Americans living in
United States of Assholes produce 6 million barrels of crude oil per day
but consume 20 million barrels of crude oil per day.
8. Did you feel chilled about 2 million Vietnamese killed with agent orange?
9. Do you have any clue why CIA killed Jacobo Arbenz of Guatemala in 1971?
10. Do you feel chilled about the fact the Govt of United States of
Assholes run the largest drug trafficking and arms smuggling business in
the world?
well said bro.. However the questions are likely to be unanswered !..America want to dominate by force, which is wrong. But, we go to the world with knowledge, and the world lets us dominate with peace.. Thats the difference between india and usa
Actually in a book published by British author and journalist Andy Marino,
its written that Modi was sad that the riots took place and he wanted to
resign over it but his party didnt want him to, so he continued. But at the
same time modi don't feel guilty because he tried his best to get military
there and stop the violence that started by Muslims to began with but modi
gets all the blame like he conspired to kill people, but no he didnt. If
you look at modi's past and Gujarat past, there is no reason that he should
have any particular vengeance against Muslims to conspire to kill innocent
people,; it happened unfortunately but we cant deny a great leader to lead
a nation that lacked a great leader over the last 10 years. Modi is from a
backward cast, that came from the bottom up. The man becoming PM will be a
great story for the underprivileged people of India to give hope that they
can achieve greatness too.
+Ophelia honestly you come in with such a biased view, there is more than one side to this story and often its much more complicated than what the media feeds for you to eat up. There have been riots across the whole of india, with as significant an impact at 2002 over the past half a century, some states even recently have had riots over the past few weeks. If you compared 2002 all other riots on an unbiased view you will see its not just one man's fault and an isolated case targeted at just one group or minority, the fact that there have NOT been riots in Gujarat since, while the muslims there have progressed on average better then those in the rest of India speaks more about Modi than the fact there was a 2002 riot.
+Ophelia yup you are absoluetly right, but now the leaders are locked nothing can change.IF congress wins RG comes (RG and congress are useless we have given them 10 yrs and they have given us amny scams, etc)IF AAP wins AK Comes ( but this will not happen because he is not able to run a collusion government and due to delhi incidence he will atleast not get majority, so its just wasting my vote there)IF Sp wins Mulayam comes (he is a strong and direct supporter of rapists, how can i select him as my PM)IF mayawati wins (she is not going to do any work as she has never done anything for her state when she was CM just built many many statues, she is useless and without a vision)IF nitesh wins (nothing gonna happen as nothing has yet happen in the state he is the CM also he is not contesting election from all over the india, which means less chance of his becoming PM, so thats also a waste of my vote there)Its really easy to say "India is capable of finding another good leader" but practically we have only the above choices as PM which agian makes me clear about my PM choice i.e. modi (for this 5years atleast)Gujrat is my native place and i have seen my family members and friends grow over last 10years sometimes i have even tought of going to gujrat forever all this cannot be achieved from marketing of gujurat image, ihave seen the growth there of people i know (standard of living is great over there). And 1 more taught recently in muzaffarnagar there were riots in which many people were killed but The New York Times has not yet cleared its stand on SP leader Mulayam (he even supports rapist openly). So i strongly think The New York Timeswas biased in making this video.Iam not saying modi was right or wrong in 2002 but people still accuse him as if he himself has raped or burnted people in 2002.also let us remember before 2002 in gujurat the were small riots on a kite, on a india-pakistan match every now and than, a curfew almost every month and after 2002 this all was stoped. And today since 10 years people in gujurat have forgotten what a curfew is, and also there is no single riots over last 10 years. according to me modi has treated all those elements (muslim or hindu) causing riots. according to the video above we should forget the developments, the law and order control, etc in gujrat after 2002 and stick to 2002 (even through all agencies, courts have held modi not resposible for that).Whatever the world says but according to me modi is the only hope of india in todays competitive markets (facing compitition from china, US, etc). we dont want any country to bend down to us but we also dont want to bend down to any country. So for me MODI is my PM.
+Arsh Farsh i know AK would have been far better than modi as PM candidate, but others being possible PM candidate (such as Mulayam, mayawati, nitesh, lalu, etc) are just not acceptable .So the main two person i can see as PM candidate is AK and Modi, so now the thing is who can work for overall growth modi has been working for 10yrs and has brought prosperity in gujrat (doing business in gujrat and doing bussiness in maharashtra clearly shows the difference that's what modi effect is , trust me i have tried this)on other hand the ground reality is AAP is not going to get majority in LS 2014 this is only because AK ran away from delhi in a hurrry also he had not taken some concrete decisions except audit of elec company (which shows lack of ability to deal with problems) and again if in LS 2014 he will not get full majority (which he will definately not get) again we will see the same things what happened in delhi. I sincerely think he should have runed delhi the way he told it should be runed, ( ours biggest bad luck was AAP not getting majority in delhi) but still he could have done something worthwhile just running away from delhi's responsibility shows there is a great difference between what he says and what he does.many such wrong steps has created a dought in my mind about what AK really wants. Also 1 more point of veiw is if i vote for AAP candidate in our constituency by going as per philosophy of voting for the best (who is far better than BJP and Congress candidate) and even if he wins over here (a rare possibility, since i know the reality around me) but BJP wins centre (which is almost confirmed) our area will again not get better roads and facilities due to less allocation of funds from centre to non BJP constituency and also there is a strong chance of AAP running away even from parliament which would make my vote a waste. In next LS election i think there is a great chance of AAP but not in this elections, but for that too AK will have to create trust in the mind of people. So atleast in this LS we have only one candidate who can become PM of india.
+maulik shah and the two options that you have stated....I just wanna assure you that there are better options out there.Try to know about your AAP candidate wherever you may be from and see if you consider the candidate worth voting for....and hey .......remember there is a NOTA option as well.
+maulik shah Many people are in the same conundrum as you.....At the outset I am still an AAP supporter. Only thing that I see against it is the so called "inexperience". AAP is proposing something radical. Such changes have always been resisted. I think we do have a very good option in AAP. I am from Punjab and the candidates they have put up...i would really wanna see them in the parliament. I don't have to choose between Cong,BJP,Akali...I have better options. And please don't forget that we are not choosing our PM.We are choosing our representative from out constituency.SO I request you please see who is a better candidate in your constituency and vote for him/her. If we can send 543 good and honest people in the parliament we will get a good P.M. and then we wont even have to get into Modi vs RaGa vs AK debate.
+Ophelia It is sad that NYT also has done little investigation before posting a video on such a crucial issue. The man has been investigated for 11 years and finally acquitted by the Supreme court . The way in which he was hounded for 11 years with constant cat-calls of 'mass-murderer' , no matter what he did or achieved and no matter ho many investigation committees found him blameless ,has been one of the most shameful episodes in India's history. Twisting of words in interviews, misquotes and misinterpretations. It must be noted that his popularity increased only with the advent of youtube and social media where his videos were uploaded directly without distortion. For being part of this shameless and inhuman character assassination of an innocent man, you NYT have forever lost my trust. Not that I used to read much NYT anyways, but now I shall look at every article you post with suspicion.Fare you well!
+maulik shah I'm sure given India's population and her peoples industrious abilities you're capable of finding a leader who hasn't prospered from hate speech before, during and after a massacre and rape of your fellow citizens. Hey! Just a crazy Idea I'm throwing out there.
whatever were the facts, we now have 2 option.1. Keep crying about what happened in 2002 (sit with it forever and talk about it and spread the info that somethings are not good between hindu's and muslims in india)2. forget all that happened and move on (people from both sides died but suprisingly no one from the team had gone to the houses of hindu people burnt in trains), we need to decide at some point of time.People then will say we should move on now but not with modi ( i agree) but in this elections i have limited options (i.e. RG, AK, Modi) :RG (rahul gandhi) is useless he cant even take steps when his government is in complete majority, He just says and is hopeless as also the congress has became hopeless (i was a supporter of RG 5 years back and see now what has he done).AK (arvind kejriwal) the best thing that could happen to indian politics. But some wrongs steps in delhi government and a bit wrong attitude towards people trusting him made him loose everything and more over made us loose our only hope in indian politics becoming accountable. in this election i dont support him due to his worng decisions in delhi and also he will not get full majority in centre due to which he will run over from there also. but AK is definately our future PM (atleast a small hope of goodness)So now you have only modi who is far far better than all others in todays politics in india and let me remind you by the way there were no riots after 2002 in gujrat (im not saying he was right or wrong in 2002) but there were many riots after 2002 which are untalked by The New York Times if its a politically motivated promotion by The New York Times then today is the black day for world media (however lets be positiveand think positive).I would choose modi over others only because others lack vision, corage and the ability to think in a way which solves problems affecting all (Hindus and muslims). In hindi : "Ghadhoo se aacha Gooda hee chunna chahiyee".So lets forget about 2002 and lets dream about 2020.
The analyst needs to analyse the facts more. If the analyst has really been following Modi,he will know how Modi has changed his statements to suit the times. He is a sly politician....and what India needs is not sly politicians but honest politicians who have an actual vision not a vision given by a coterie of academicians and propounders of neoliberalism who have been promoting crony capitalism in gujarat which the CM claims as his developmental credentials.
+Ophelia I dont know were your getting your information from Miss cause that is one biased statement. Yes Modi has conservative views, a country needs right wing politics, if there are left wing parties such as india. But if you read what modi is been running for you'll see he is for one india and a developed india. Its actually the congress and other parties that are being more polarizing lately. Even yesturday MOdi said he will reach out to muslims So stop being so biased.
Modhi is a right wing religious fundamentalist who presided over the murder of Indian citizens because of their religion and has continued to promote hatred and bigotry against this same group to win re-election. This is a dark time for India's democracy.

21st-Century Concentration Camps | Nicholas Kristof | The New York Times
Subscribe on YouTube: //bit.ly/U8Ys7n Nicholas Kristof travels to Myanmar, where the Buddhist majority confines a million Muslims to camps and villages ...
While I do not agree with concentration camps or denying health care to
Muslims, I certainly understand the fear of the Buddhist majority in
Myanmar. The fact of the matter is that their understanding of Islamic
norms is sound. You can see it in Pakistan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, Nigeria,
Sudan, Somalia, Chechnya, and all over the Islamic world.
They are right to seek protection against the Islamic culture. Having said
that, they should respect basic human rights.
Nicholas Kristof gave a small fraction of the story, and painted the wrong people as the villains. The recent history of the situation in Myanmar (Burma) is one of the Muslims attacking and killing tens of thousands of Buddhists. The current "concentration camp" situation is the reaction by the Buddhists in defending themselves against the murderous Muslims. When you look at it that way, what the Buddhists are doing is very understandable.
There is nothing wrong in buddhism but in people who wrongly practice it.
First of all basic necessities like food, water shelter, clothes, medical
care and safety should be provided for every living being not only humans
and the question of religion doesn't come here.
Yes i agree many muslims are creating havoc like the ISIS but that doesn't
mean that you punish innocent people. i agree muslims breed too fast and
don't check over the number of children, but still those who are born are
humans and should be provided with the facilities.
hope this world will see peace some day.
Why is New York Times silent on Gaza? You would never see a NYT video like
this by Nicholas Kristof with "concentration camps" in the title about
occupied Palestine. Of course Myanmar's treatment of Rohinga Muslims is
indeed awful as well, I just see a certain double standard here.
Because they are illegal immigrants from Bangaldesh. All countries including US, UK, Australia lock up illegals in detention camp all the time. Nothing new, normal immigration procedure.
The zionists masterminded the bosnian massacre the iraqi war palestinian
crisis myanmar muslim massacre and many more atrocities against Muslims.
Why? Because Muslims like Christians will not turn the cheek and be good
goyim.
These Goras should stick to printing propaganda about Afghan tribals &
drumming up support for killing grandmothers in Central Asian villages.
Fuck NYT!
Skiers Tame Alaska's 'Magic Kingdom' - Extreme Skiing Video | The New York Times
In this first episode of Behind the Line, Ian McIntosh and Sage Cattabriga-Alosa make first descents in the Neacola Mountains of Alaska. Read the story here: ...
This makes Alyeska's North Face look like a bunny slope! I live in Alaska
and ski and have never heard of this place until now. And according to the
map I looked at, this mountain range is on the other side of the Cook
Inlet. That means there are no roads going there, so you young, privileged
hipster guys must have some money to pay a helicopter pilot to get you
there, or else mom and dad paying for it.
+Jon Stewart They definitely aren't "privileged hipster guys." They're professional skiers who get their (very modest) income primarily through sponsorships. (Just FYI: Ian and Sage are both sponsored by Smith Optics, The North Face, an actual 'ski' company, and several others.) Helicopters are provided by movie production companies -- in this case, Teton Gravity Research -- who are usually reimbursed to some extent by the athletes' sponsors. Long story short: these guys don't have that much disposable income, they just get free gear and have their travel expenses paid for on account of their considerable skills and massive balls.
+aiden mcmillan You're 12 and have skied even higher? Where?! And you are lucky to have mastered a hobby at such a young age! I was 39 when I came to Alaska, 42 before I skied, and before coming to Alaska, I could count on both hands how many times I saw snow, since I lived in Texas most of my life. I hope you can read my post. I know most of the younger generation now can barely read or spell properly, since most teachers aren't doing their job!
Two dudes spend thousands of dollars to ski down a mountain in Alaska for
30 seconds. Must've been a slow news day. I've seen cat videos better than
this.
+Ian Cooper possesions make you rich? i dont have those type of riches, my riches is life forever - bob marley. these guys arent flush with cash but because of their expertise they get the opportunity to do what they love and sponsors pay for the helis, or in some cases they spend all they have on this stuff and live frugally in other regards
