The hospitals were the envy of the Middle East, with people travelling into the Country for treatment.Yes, she said Saddam was strict - but - people were safe, had jobs, had money - had a LIFE. So yes, Iraq was better left untouched by the UK and U.S bombs which left depleted uranium everywhere.My neighbours beautiful daughter was just in her early 20's - she died of cancer in the Country that poisoned hers. I don't think my old neighbour can ever get over that, and the fact she has a disabled teen - who was starved of oxygen at birth because of our bombs meant no electric in the hospitals and a shortage of oxygen canisters.Life in Iraq was a darn sight better than what you might think.
