//www.cdbaby.com/cd/lylewatt - Debut EP AVAILABLE NOW! I got myself a new amp for gigging with - an Egnater Rebel 20. Exactly what I was looking for ...
Great playing dude. Very impressive. Keep it up. But not for amp demos. It
seemed more like a showcase for your chops than a demo of the amp. I think
you only covered about 3 of the 20 different tones that amp can
legitimately produce. The playing on those 3 tones was great. But I
honestly, I didn't learn much about the amp. So I am not critqueing you as
a player, just as an amp demo'er (whatever the hell that is),
@tomnerko Fair enough mate. I just tried to cover the 4 most commonly used
tones to give people a general idea of what the amp sounds like (and keep
it fitting with youtube's 10 min limit on videos), with a wee jam at the
end to hear what it sounds like in a mix as well. Everybody at some point
uses a rhythm crunch, a lead tone, a clean tone, and a bluesy crunch, so I
thought it made most sense to cover those.
@kirkhetfieldtrujillo Exactly: those four sound cover 90% of its
applications, maybe tomkerno wanted to know "if it did metal" like all the
other juvenile idiots on here, or maybe what it sounds like when you drop
it on your foot? the zillion thumb downs he got probably went over his
head. Nicely demoed and well played.
i don't know man? your playing is great but the amp has this muffled sort
of sound to it...almost like a more compressed solid state tone rather than
the mid range clanging of a tube amp? I notice this on the Guitar Magazine
review as well? I don't know if its just me?
wow dude! u seriously blew me away with that jam at the end!!!! infact, i'm
going to listen to is again now!!! great playing! i hope u have a band and
are recording and playing!!! if ur not, u should be!! let me know when u
have a record out, i want a copy! thank u!!!
Oh man, sick playing! ..such tasty runs.. Thank you for this vid... Only
reason I stumbled upon it, is because there's a Rebel 20 on my local
Craig's List, so I thought I'd YouTube demo it.. And you did it well
justice.. A nice sounding amp. Thanks again!
Great demo! No useless blathering...just lots of great tone samples with
relevant information displayed onscreen while I can hear the sound recorded
properly with a good mic. Great playing as well. Excellent job. Thanks for
putting in the time!
for a sec there I was sure I was listening to Satch. NICE demo man. And i
loved the jam at the end. I'm trying to figure out how to get mixes as
clear and open as that... anything to do with eq/mic placement or mic
choice? Keep rockin. \m/
Awesome demo! Really the best around. All of them had some issues but this
one is flawless and exactly the type of sound I was looking for (although I
plan to get the Rebel 30) Greetings from the JS forum :)
Good demo, I was thinking about getting the 30 combo, but after hearing
about the ported 12 not so sure. Sweet playing on the strat, and the jam at
the end was sweet--like the stretchy and buildup licks.
@fmbighair That's probably because I had the amp at a very low volume - I
could talk over it without too much trouble. The amp didn't get a change to
open up like it would if it was cranked.
great playing, especially the end (was it improvised?), nice tones, where
did you get that backingtrack please? i would like to hear egnater + your
telecaster if it's possible in future:)
Hello mate, you play very well,im not into metal or these shred things but u
do play very well, all long the neck with endless riffs, have u studied a
lot? Regards from brazil.
@stratele76 The LED on the amp is actually blue, but for some reason the
camera was picking it up as red and blue. I should probably get a new
camera...
