YEAH! Can we dive into these drum tones? Especially the verbs. I think we would all benefit from a tutorial like that too!  Awesome tutorial though, Helios works so well with the electrics.

The Pro Basses were the first Wal model started in the late 70's. They had single pickup and dual pickup versions: Pro I, and Pro II. And could be ordered passive or active. A Pro IIe would be an active version. The later Mark 1 has the same body shape as the Pro, but the old Pro has a larger headstock.

Right. Mine is a 1980 Pro II, passive. The previous owner also gave me the original Wal Pro IIe active electronics, but the bass sounds so good, that I never felt the need to try it (it it ain't broke...). I assume that most of that "Wal sound" comes from their 8-coil pickups...
