+louis defunes Knowledge is better than an assumption. The Fiesta is build in China, Thailand, India and Taiwan (regarding Asia). China and Taiwan dont have cars driving on the left, so its either Thailand or India. Thos people dont look very Indian like, so its not Indonesia, but Thailand (most probably possibly maybe and so on). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fiesta//www.worldstandards.eu/cars/list-of-left-driving-countries/
+Emerson Martinez No, it aint Mexico... first of all, there isn't that much light inside the plant. Secondly, the uniforms are blue jeans and a white button shirt with long sleeves and the Ford logo printed on the pocket. Third, long hair must be either covered or cut and on the video, there are way too many buddies without covering their long hair. Fourth, the order of the machinery. Fifth, there are no automatic polishing machines as shown on the video. Sixth, everything is in Spanish inside the plant, and as shown on the video, is in English. Seventh, Mexico does not produce any Fiesta with the steering wheel on the right (6:22). Eight, the fascia on the car shown at minute 7:32 was never put on a car built in Mexico.I was there for a couple of months as a contractor. The site shown must be an European, Australian or probably from India... but I'm damn sure it's not Mexico.
+FALLGUY1988 Ford Fiesta is a re-badged Mazda 2 to begin with. Ford (2015) all their passenger cars for sale/assembled in the USA are built off current/obsolete platforms from Ford Europe,Ford Australia, or Mazda/Mitsubishi platfoms under Licence-Royalty Agreement.
+FALLGUY1988 Shame on YOU, fool. The world is slightly bigger than the United States of Foolishness. Maybe theyre thought for other countries? BTW, big letters dont make a sentence more reasonable. ;)
+FALLGUY1988 and if they're not being made at that factory for the US market? The Fiesta is sold worldwide and has to be sold at a profit. Many times that means assembling them fairly locally to sales. This means not having to pay some punitive import taxes. As these cars are right hand drive, then the market is either UK/IRL (which it isn't as those cars are made in Germany) or Asia/Australia.
I disagree... humans program, build, install, maintain, inspect these machines as well as inspecting the final product for QA. All of these mentioned jobs are more highly skilled and better paying. Just a different world.
