I was quite struggle before filming this video, however this phenomenon couldn't be ignored because I see it through my eyes everyday. So I decided doing it ...
Thank you for creating this video. I live in Alberta, Canada and the
lifestyle here is very similar to the USA. The number of obese people at
Costco in Canada seems to be the same as what I see in other stores such as
Walmart (we don't have SAMs Club). Alberta has a very strong economy so
construction workers here can easily earn the same salary as professionals.
Maybe that explains why my observations are different. Obesity is a very
big problem in Canada. I was born and raised in Nova Scotia, almost 60
years ago. It was a relatively poor area, but only 1% or 2% of the people
were overweight. It is much different now. I am guessing that the problem
is a result of several factors that could vary by region.
+Stephen Mortimer we used to do it here all the way into the 1950s and 1960s from what I read. Anyway, about the "smell", when I lived in Korea I dated Korean girls.. they all smell like hydrogen gas. Its all that pickled cabbage they eat and I went to an international high school in Brazil, one of my classes was full of Japanese girls, I was the only guy and I was a white guy, I would walk into that classroom and I was like walking in to a fish market.. just this overwhelming smell of raw fish. Enough to make your eyes water.. pretty, but stinky.
+Stephen Mortimer They have been domesticated for a lot longer than we have. They were selectively bred to be in a collective. We were bred to be survivors until the social engineering started to reward inactivity. This is why we have to cut the apron strings on these people, let nature find its balance.. or we will live in the world shown in the movie "Idiocracy". Civilization is not a good thing I don't think, not in the long run. Maybe if there were some quality control measures but then that would lead to Totalitarianism. Maybe we just need to go back to tribalism.
+Gloomshadow100 You want interesting research ? check out "apocrine glands" (it's why we "nuzzle") as I get it the asians don't have them... I mean we must really smell to them ....Also it appears the chinese LIKE being with other chinese.. I cannot think of a single western race where that is true .. we are the "let's get away from it" types ... chinese are the "let's get together"
+Stephen Mortimer they are getting fat too.. my friend SerpentZA sends videos from mainland china every week.. you can see fat people popping up here and there..
+Through My Eyes you pack a bunch of Americans into a high stress city and they start to kill each other though. You could never pack me into a city, its like prison. I went to NY city and after 4 days I was losing my mind.
+Harold Ernst Agree, I don't think one single factor could lead to this result. I've read that: low income people spend more time on commute, which make their life more busy than high income people, they don't have the time to fix food from scratch, but rely on processed food. This should blame the urban layout.
