ESP is where the system applies engine torque and braking to individual wheels, to help the car stay planted, curve control is an automated braking system. They are entirely different systems, and VW does not offer curve control. No, curve control is a Ford only product. I did realise that, thankyou. Hence my mention of the Focus Estate. The size advantage isn't the only advantage, it is one of many. There's no need to rest a case that doesn't conclude an argument. The reason the Octavia is compared, even by car reviewers is because it is a saloon shape, the Focus is a hatchback shape. I am defending a bigger car because it is much better value for money, and so is the Focus. There's a reason the Focus is best seller.

MPG? no because you see the new mondeo was tested in USA which has different type of test. This Skoda costs 10.800£ in starting set The best model will cost around 16.000£. The new Mondeo will cost about 19.000£ starting price. Everybody knows that value for money, Skoda is almost unbeatable - Look at some reviews for Octavia. You are thinking of the Ford Fusion, not the Mondeo. The Mondeo has different engines that will exceed the efficiency of the more powerfully tuned US engines for it. But still, even if it was tested in the U.S, why does that make any difference? 50mpg here is the same as 50mpg in the states. The Octavia starts at about £14,500 for a base model. To be honest, most people would rather a Focus Estate. The maximum price is about £28,000. I configured one on the website.

Curve control is in ESP. Also Octavia is segment C car which is Focus. Mondeo is D segment car which is Superb at Skoda. So you are defending 1/3 bigger price bigger segment car with Octavia and the only advantage is size (since its bigger segment car) and looks (which is subjective). So you have proven my point ... Octavia MK3 can be compared to bigger segment car like Mondeo yet its price is like Focus. Thank you ill rest my case :)

The MPG will not surpass Fords new Mondeo, nor will the price, as with everything from the shitty, overrated VW group, it will be overpriced, the Mondeo is also better value for money. You really need to look into it more. You see, there are no facts that exist to support your bogus claim. Ford uses 3 different types of processors inside its ESP drive control to be separate they use 1 for curve control. In VW group they use 4 processors and all of them share their capabilities on whole ESP system and curve control. So Ford says its separate thing but the VW offers it withing its ESP control system. It doesnt matter if its alone or not, its there.

OBYČEJNÁ ŠKODOVKA, videa všude ze "špionáže" a já nevím co, děláte jako kdyby se jednalo o nejlepší vůz na světě a nebo já nevím co.... Stejná rachotina jako předešlé verze, tak proč tolik cirkusu kolem takového auta? To samé Rapid, další hnus.... Jediná Škodovka co se povedla je Superb II Combi.

skoda: polski = disaster polish can be very wrong but VAG can get it worse. In Polish the word skoda really does mean disaster but even there it has a better rep than the top VAG brand for integrity and reliability. for real people who buy 2nd or 3rd hand audi vw is shit and tecnotoys to expensive to fix..

"bigger segment" Octavia is C-segment - medium car by EU standard (compact) Mondeo is D-segement - large car by EU standard smaller segment -> bigger segment A -> B -> C -> D (-> E -> F) mini -> small -> medium -> large ( -> executive -> luxury) luxury and executive are not necessarily bigger

The word Škoda in czech (origin of brand) means "damage". It was ship builder in early 20th century which bought "Laurin & Klement" carmaker. The founder of the "Škoda works" (ship builder) was Emil Škoda so thats where it origins :). You are right with the money.

Curve control is another version of others ESP control systems. Just like you can get Android or Windows on your mobile phone. So you are saying that every car reviewer magazine is wrong saying that Octavia is better value for money and you are right. ok

I didnt say the Mondeo is bigger, i was defending my statement that i said bigger segment instead of bigger car. ok we can differ those with word roominess and higher. The Octavia is as roomy as mondeo despite the Mondeo is higher segment car. happy? =)

По оф. данным октавия из среднего класса перейдет в премиальный сегмент. Дизайн конечно спорный, очень уж на шкоду рапид похож.
