Carmen Dell'Orefice in conversation with Prof Frances Corner OBE
Omg, please, please, dear journalists, when you interview someone, don't
make these "hmmmmm mmmmm" noises! What a waste, such an interesting
conversation, but I just couldn't listen to it anymore. All I can hear is
this "hmm hmmm"". I am sorry but this is so unprofessional. Please don't do
this anymore, you're ruining a good interview. So pity that I am forced to
give it a miss.
I agree. I used to be a journalist for a newspaper and I knew that if I ever made any of those noises while interviewing I will later regret it. Because when I was listening to the tape afterwards my own voice was annoying me so much.
+Nadya Allsop I agree - as a former TV producer who has interviewed many celebrities over the years, the very first rule is that you the interviewer remain utterly mute after you have asked your question, so that your voice never interferes with the interviewees response! This woman may be a professor but she is certainly no journalist!
+Nadya Allsop I listened again and did hear a hum of agreement from Prof Frances Corner OBE.I guess initially I automatically silenced that in my mind because I was completely focused on Miss Dell' Orefice.
Dell'Orefice sounds like an Italian surname. It does not mean what one of
the comments above suggests. The word "orifice" actually means goldsmith
in Italian.
+Paddy Williams its also a japanese thing. That noise has a word: "ano" so you use that word to fill in between words! Remember, English isn't his first language.
Every idiots say and think 'if u wanna work as designer you have to love
fashion and know the trends', but its not true for inovators , trend
setters and those who create timeless artsy pieces. why fashion should be
just about the current trends ? in these days thers loats of brands,
designers, trend setters are not designers but people on street
(streetstyle bloggers). but those artsy pieces are mostly of course for
those who can afford to express individuality, the rest of sheeps are happy
with the 'seasonal uniform'. strappy black n white tshirt anyone?lol
