Over the course of the last 8 years, Rick Perry, Herman Cain, Michelle Bachman, Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum have all claimed at one time or another that God has "chosen them" to become president. So wow... either 1. God is an ineffectual deity who chooses a Republican to become the next president but just can't deliver enough "God Juice" to help them beat Barack Obama, or 2. God is just fucking with those 5 people... Of course, there's always a third possibility... that all of those candidates were just confused, and really, really *thought* that the voice in their head who was telling them "You've GOTTA be president," was the almighty creator of the universe and definitely not just their own desire to acquire power talking. ...or maybe... and call me nuts... but just *maybe*... 4. shitty GOP politicians are trying to appeal to their voters by pretending to hear voices from "God" and comparing themselves to Moses. There really isn't a 5th possibility here... and for the life of me, I can't figure out which of the four possibilities I listed, if true, would be the saddest.
