It's a sad commentary to say that Air Canada has the experience, money and know-how to be amongst the best airlines in the world, in terms of cabin service, but chooses to be otherwise seemingly on purpose. Pretty crappy way to represent Canada abroad. Going to HKG? Definitely fly CX. AC doesn't deserve the business until it changes its ways.

I want to travel to very far places, but I've never been on a plane longer than 3 hours. I don't know what I'd do on a flight this long..

Luckily, most airlines nowadays have extensive in-flight entertainment systems on bored with many different movies, TV shows, games and other fun stuff to keep you occupied.

Great video shot! I really enjoyed watching this video. The Turbulence is a doozy, the turbulence starts over Japan then over Korea, then as soon as you pass the international date line. I've flown Cathay Pacific in 2008 and they have the best economy seats in the industry,hands down! But it was a B747-400 I flown on to Los Angeles.This time I'll be flying on the B777-300ER to Hong Kong in December, however, I'll be flying on American Airlines from Dallas in December and I can't wait to fly this great aircraft. Keep up the great work!

The old economy is pretty trash compared to the new one. I think the American economy and Cathay's have some similarities, you'll see another Cathay economy review from me soon. Thanks!

I would like to fly this route (I am a Toronto native) but Cathay is 4x more expensive than Air Canada on the same route.

I've no doubt of that, but another reason is that I can acquire Aeroplan points but not with Cathay as Cathay isn't part of Star Alliance.

Last time I checked, Air Canada was more costly to fly with on the same route than Cathay. Still, the gap isn't that big and Cathay is definitely the better airline imo.
