+Einstein Wallah What I meant is, that what can be authentic for your granny, was different for granny of your granny. Who really knows now what is authentic, the very very original. I am just trying to show Indian food made by Indians in India (or Sri Lankan food made by Sri Lankans in Sri Lanka ........), with some traditional instruments, view into kitchen, local atmosphere ..... that is the authenticity. Check other channels calling their recipes authentic. It is usually made in western style modern kitchens, in branded pots, with loads of electrical tools ....... From this point of view my channel is different, more authentic than most of other channels calling their recipes authentic.

Your village setting and the people're noticeably good to watch but authentic documentation is questionable. I don't take into account what you didn't say or showed. Good luck with your version of authentic documentation.
+Wilson David It is hard to say what is authentic. If you put down some of your recipes, somebody might admit, that 100 years ago it was different. Again - my project is about documenting food in traditional places - villages, streets, small local restaurants. I never said it is a 1000 old recipe ...... So please take it easy :)
India is huge yes and I was born and had been from himalaya to st most south. I know what authentic means. I've been cooking for the past 55years. Before you venture something as a foriegner, make a study before you post them.
+Wilson David I got it with egg curry many times for breakfast and always at authentic places. India is so huge :) You are right though, breakfast menu is very different from the lunch one.
Since you called it authentic food, then I saw what it is. Another hint, people usually don't eat dosa with Indian curry for breakfast. Usually it's served with coconut chutney and sambar(lentil sauce).
+Wilson David Dear David, Thank you for your comment. I do not say, that dosa comes originally from Kerala, I just said, that I learned the recipe in Kerala. Regarding the recipe, it was a short grain and long grain rice and they were both raw. I saw cooked rice being added into appam. The chef had pretty good English, so I think I got right information. I do not say, that the recipes I publish are the very original. I just present food I loved with the recipe from the place the dish was prepared (villages, small traditional restaurants). I think it is always hard to say what is the most original recipe with every food.
