Oregon Cannabis Tact Act
The Oregon Cannabis Tact Act, or Measure 80, will legalize cannabis for recreational smoking, as well as legalize the production of hemp. I am medicating with ...
In Colorado, I assume most places will choose to go to selling retail
instead of medical, because of the increased customer base. If you're a
medical patient, you can apply through your doctor to be able to have an
increased plant count, whereas recreational is limited to 3 mature plants.
Medical patients under 21 will still need to go to dispensaries. And
medical patients are allowed to possess 2 ounces - recreational users are
only allowed 1.
It really is a shame that it did not pass. Hopefully whatever they put on
the ballot this next year will. It would have made me even more thrilled to
move back there. Where it's not 20 a g for your regular healthy looking,
that's not shwagg, and the people here think is "dank." If it wasn't so
amazing there in Oregon (the green I mean), I would probably be looking to
move to Denver like everyone else! Denver or Seattle (again)...
I live in Oregon also. Actually the reason Measure 80 didn't pass is
because none of the major marijuana lobby groups such as MPP were
financially supporting any advertising campaign in Oregon. It still did
good though with 45% voting for it but the legislators right now are trying
to legalizing it and if that doesn't work then i hear there going to be a
constitutional amendment to legalize it though voter initiative.
Even if you don't live in the state where there is something on the ballot
it still has an effect elsewhere in the U.S. These measures once passed and
successfully implemented set precedent that allows other states to jump on
board and sets stronger precedent for the case to reschedule marijuana
altogether (ie, americans for safe access vs dea). It's good that you cover
these. Thanks!
I bet most smokers would say the same. However I hate to live in a country
where I have to be scared to smoke because of getting caught, so I really
want it to be legal EVERYWHERE. What could I possibly be doing to harm
anyone around me or even myself? That's what I hate about cannabis being
illegal, I should have the freedom to use cannabis freely and not be scared
about it.
Mark, these past few videos have really been great and very informative!
You've also been doing a great job at keeping any tension that may still
exist between you and your brother out of the videos. I'm always looking
forward to your next upload, and i'm sure i'm not alone when i say i look
forward to seeing the next dual Redband video! Great upload, Legalize
Everywhere!
So if everything goes well with any/all of these acts to legalize, will
most of the current dispensaries switch over to recreational shops or will
they continue to operate as medical dispensaries? As well as what percs or
upsides (if any) would current patients have apposed to recreational users
if there are still medical dispensaries around?
it should be going in the direction that we grow our own... if they are the
ones growing it that's not the ticket.. still a good direction because less
jail bs. market decides prices is great plus demand is what is pushing all
this.. and demand is in growing-ur-own rights.. lots of em
Vapourizer doesn't get hot enough to release some active cannibinoids only
way to do so is with flame herb iron glass rods but when smoking a vape
always feels like Somethin is missin from the effects and you take the wand
out to stop the heating element burning the herb!
So there are 3 states pending recreational use for marijuana? Only time
will tell if the other states catch on. BUT, mark do you think if Colorado
is the first state for that to happen to, do you think it would somewhat
turn into the new Amsterdam?
I stand behind what I wrote. People that vote NO on I-502, the OCTA, or
Amendment 64 yet still smoke weed are literally voting to continue
prohibition upon themselves. If you're waiting around for the perfect law,
things will never change.
I remember in one of your older videos you guys said that that vaporizer
was kind of weird because the glass joint goes in horizontally. I just
thought maybe you could put a 45 degree adapter on there so it is angled
down. Just a thought.
What up man! Big fan, and I'm from colorado as well! I was wondering do you
know how 64 will effect MMC's. Will they be able to open their doors to the
public. And how long does it take for the amendment to take hold once
passed?
In 2008 Obama said there are much better things to do than raid medical
marijuana shops. But Obama has gone on to close more med shops than any
other president. lol don't say Obama will legalize anything but illegal
immigrants.
What is one thing Obama has done that is any much different than any
president regarding marijuana? Pass the buck on. He said he was going to
have feds leave states alone - and he did not follow thru on that one AFAIK
question for you Mark, Would you recommend moving to colorado for college
If I want to use cannabis medically or recreationally? I'm concerned that
colleges in Colorado will make it illegal to have on their campuses..
cannabis should be made legal, but I certainly dont want any government
regulation. We all know the government always fucks up everything they
touch. Those who want regulation had better be careful what they wish for.
Yup Pure Sativas here in Oregon can get up to around 33% THC. Basically
when weed is legal, i think Oregon will be known as the state that has the
best recreational cannabis kinda like the microbrewery is for beer. =)
Unfortunately the Oregon initiative isn't polling as well as Washington and
Colorado. The fact that there is no limit to possession and the strong
governmental control is putting many people off.
Obama has nothing to do with the closing of medi shops but you shouldn't
expect him to legalize anything there's more important matters on his mind
than the legalization of cannabis
What makes you say that? I'm not saying they will pass for sure, but the
polls indicate that Washington and Colorado are highly likely to pass,
while Oregon is not so likely.
@theguythatcouldfly I won't be smoking more than one ounce at a time, so
the fact that recreational use is only one ounce at a time doesn't really
bother me. #legalnation
i live in oregon but im to young to vote. its still great to know that ill
be here when history is made, i think people in colorado and wshington feel
the same im pumped

2010 Archive: Pot of Gold - Oregon Cannabis Tax Act Media Coverage - KATU
PORTLAND, Ore. - While state budgets in Oregon and Washington face gaping holes, advocates of legalizing marijuana say taxing pot can help fill those holes.
I want to legalize hemp and cannabis for reasons other than taxes, taxes &
taxes , but instead: 1. To make this natural medicine more easily available
to people who need it. 2. To allow a hemp farm industry in Oregon that will
create real jobs. 3. To save $31 million a year by releasing non-violent
drug offenders from prison. 4. To save lives by removing it from the
control of drug gangs who use deadly force to fight the police and each
other. But to do this, the tax must be much less than 15%.
Taxs is bad news . People in oregon are not realy big on taxs. Why after
all the years of lies and all the bs comeing out of groverment for the pass
70 years should we let these people get tax money,it's just wrong.beside's
i think all the job comeing from legalizeing it would help just as much as
taxs it.
The argument that criminals would undercut prices is foolish. Legal sellers
would get supplies by legal means like they do with alcohol. And just like
not everyone grows tomatoes even if they can most people wont go through
the hassle of growing their own if the legal means to buy quality product
is there.
Fuck the Law! It don't matter if it's legal or not I'm still gonna smoke
it. Just because it's illegal don't mean it's wrong, laws against cannabis
were made out of lies, and false beliefs. I'll just give my money to gangs
in the mean time. Good job you fucking IDIOTS!
