Hi, love your videos and no messing about when something need diy approach
:) Just question. What settings do you use on your T2D. I tried bunch of
them and still cannot get the right PID. btw would love to buy some stuff
from you but you re just way to far (Czech R.) Keep up the awesome work!
+Jiri Pospisil when choosing PID just mess about, go from one extreme to the other and it should be in between that. i got it after about 4 changes after seeing the extreme PID
In the first test the isolator was removing vibration with no rubber bands attached. The rubber bands themselves don't isolate any vibration, they just help the wire rope do it better.
Thank you Dan!
Mine arrived today and it only took a few moments to put it together while
watching the video. A quick test flight and the video looked great.
+DJ Kinney >$10 could feed a family for more than 2 weeks in rural Mexico.Where did you get this data from? There is no place on Earth that 10$ can feed a family for 2 weeks! You live in a very nice dream. //www.therichest.com/rich-list/poorest-list/what-can-10-get-you-in-the-worlds-poorest-countries/10/
+DJ Kinney Then tell me why every single one of the big name professional aerial video companies uses vibration isolation systems. Ooh they must just not balance their prop huh.
It's valid in general, but I think given the cost of this thing relative to the cost of the hobby it's moot. If somebody has done their best to balance everything that spins on their air frame but just can't get it right for whatever reason and this $10 widget gets them the rest of the way to a jello-free video then they'll get more ROI buying one than they will spending more time trying to balance things.
That's actually funny, and a fair retort. Especially when I imagined Speedy fucking Gonzalez with an FPV quad. But don't be an asshole. You know that my point is valid.
$10 could feed a family for more than 2 weeks in rural Mexico. But beyond that, a cottage industry has sprouted up around creating shit that people don't need in this wing of the RC hobby. Not just that, but double-doping shit. Devices to fix things that would be broken except for other devices.
+DJ Kinney You really need engineering data to justify a $10 purchase? Just buy one (or go spend a couple bucks at Home Depot and spend a few minutes to make one) and see if it subjectively improves your video quality. If it does, keep using it. If it doesn't, throw it away.
Balance props correctly. Period. There is no more need for these elaborate vibration systems. In fact, without proper experimental data, I don't know if at certain frequencies these actually make vibration worse! Show me some engineering data, not anecdotal demos.
