Have fun with it. These things can last almost 20,000 miles if maintained.
They work well for light trail riding and can go up some steep hills by
pedaling a little. Although when blasting downhill. It's good to disengage
the clutch or hold it wide open so the oil in the gas can lube the
bearings.
+RatCatcher It's a fun little thing, I havent found the right project for it yet. I was thinking about a push bike, but no design yet. Thanks for watching
unfortunately they made a stupid law that anything above 49cc on a bike
they must have a license and a plate for the bike because 80cc is like a
motorcycle. To me I think its a stupid law. I mean, I just want to have
fun, but if you are gonna go on the road with 80cc bike you should just go
to paddling mode to avoid the police from noticing you or you can just go
20 mph like you're acting you have a 49cc or below engine.
I looked at more 26" frames online and they look like the size of my bike. I didn't know 26" frame was that small. lol. thnx for the help Lil doggy. ill subscribe. :)
//imgur.com/a/hUPse#2 This is a picture of the engine in a 26" v frame bike, notice there is no extra room as the engine was designed for the frame. I think it's either 26" or customize, as I will eventually do. Good luck friend, I hope yo have lots of fun
I want to try to fit it on that bike because its the only ready to use bike I have with a v shaped frame to fit the engine. I have a few old road bike that are usable but its ugly so if I put it on that old 26" road bike it'll look ugly with the nice black 80cc engine kit I'm getting. so If I put it on that bike I will have to change the tire to a mountain bikes tire put a new handle bar because the existing handle bar is curved at the end and I will have to give it a paintjob. but I will only have to buy the paint because I have lots of bike parts laying around that I can put on that bike. Its just that I'm too lazy to do all that work just to put an engine on it. and no I don't want to get a new bike because I already have 10 of them lying around my house but most of them don't have the v shaped frame.Sorry for the long comment. :)
yea but the motor is small. can u tell me the length of the motor top to bottom. I have a medium sized bike. its just that in the v shape place where you are suppose to put it is pretty small like its about 9 inch from the bottom pipe frame to the top pipe frame.
I think it might fit a 24" frame, but everything I've seen has it on a 26" frame. I bought a 20" Mongoose Massif for this engine, but the bike is so cool, I cant bring myself to cut it.
lol...but I have a bike that has 8 to 9 inch of space from the top frame to the bottom frame. what is the height of the engine from the bottome mountto the top.mesure it from the bottom connector of the engine because that bottom connector is gonna be on the bottom of my frame.well... only do it if you want to help me :)
haha... do you think they'll notice from 80cc from 49cc. well if I do go on the road ill just go like mph so the don't notice that I'm using a strong 80cc motor. but I'm gonna try to put this 80cc kit on a medium sized bike. its about 10 inches from the bottom frame to top frame but ill adjust it to fit. I want to put it on the medium bike so it can perform like a dirt bike. In my area we have a thick bundle of woods and in the woods there are bike trails so I'm gonna go ride my 80cc bike in the woods mostly.
