It is not up to any of us who live outside of Tibet to tell the Tibetans what to do. Taiwan has democracy, so should Tibet. India is a large nation of 1.1 billion people & they have democracy. There is no reason why China cannot be democratic too. If all of China was democratic with the power to choose their own destinies, would anyone be surprised at what Tibet would ultimately choose? Granted that Carter signed a code of conduct agreement as a torchbearer. She violated the agreement and was removed from the run. The interesting part though is that the torch itself is political. Either all of the runners should've been removed, or the agreement should've been better worded.
