@Airforceproud95 this is true. The new additions will be arriving in intervals. The first Boeing 737-500 will enter service in April, it should arrive in Nassau in about 10 days.

Bahamas Air is very small and has only two of those planes that make up its fleet. I have seen one of them for sure and like those engines on them. Great catch!

Bahamasair is always so there no shock about that. Also the airline say that 2 737-500 will be added to the fleet in April to replace our 737-2K5.

@JayJ767 I've heard about that! Although they will replace the 737-2K5 I'm glad they chose another classic 737 variation.

There's a reason for that. Bahamasair only has 8 planes in their fleet. 3 B737-500s and 5 D8s. Those D8s are working around the clock all day, every day, to do the short haul flights in and out of the country, and when goes down, that delays the entire schedule (which happens almost every day). So, those D8s need to be in-and-out of an airport in the shortest time possible.
