You need to work on your cutting of film. This is poor. The plays run
together too quick, and all you make sure to show is the ball dropping
through the hoop.
Show something other than scoring. Give the viewer a chance to breathe.
Fading from one play to the next is not the correct way to do this -
complete breaks from the action would be better. 2/10
That record 33 game win streak set by that great Laker team is a goner. I
just don't see any team beating the Warriors in the next 12 games. I don't
care if Kyrie comes back by Christmas. In fact, if he does come back; it's
going to give Golden State even more of an incentive to pound them into the
ground. This team is scoring like the Denver teams of the 80's. It's insane
how quickly they can light it up. Plus they don't seem to have off nights.
They may have may have an off quarter, but not for an entire game. They're
unbelievable!!! They're basically doing what the Showtime Laker teams used
to do. They would jump to gigantic leads in the first quarter and just run
you off the court. If the opposing team did catch up; they would expend all
their energy in doing so and the game would be over. That's what Golden
State is doing right now. Plus when you have fans of the opposing team
applauding you, that's just crazy. I don't think I've ever seen that. The
72-10 record is serious jeopardy also.
+douglas mccann I think starting out 34-0, which is looking more and more likely; would be in the top five team accomplishments in the history of sports and it's not like they're just squeaking by. The Laker win streak started 10 games into the season, so it wasn't really mid season; and like Golden State, they were demolishing most of the competition. They had a 10 game stretch during where averaged 135 points a game. How do you compete with that? The difference is this Warrior team are babies by comparison. Baylor, West and Wilt were all well into their 30's. I don't know which is more impressive. The NBA wasn't different back then, so it's hard to tell. Just back to the Warriors and I keep on reiterating this. You can't really judge the game by the final score. You have to really watch their games in their entirety. The games they win by 9 or 10. Those games aren't even that close. Remember their strategy is for the game to end by the first quarter. Look at the box scores of most of their games. They're up 30-12, 34-14 31-17, etc. You jump to leads like that and it's almost impossible to catch up. Yeah it's the NBA; and some teams can make up the difference; but by the time you're within six, then comes a torrential downpour of threes and the other team just puts their head down. It must be demoralizing. It's funny while all the all the talk has been about the Warriors, no one has mentioned the Spurs. They're 18-4 and in the end winning all these games means nothing if they don't get to the championship again. So to answer your question, I think Golden State winning 34 in a row in today's NBA would be more impressive.
+champagneforashley wow beating 33 streak,,,,, from the beginning of the season.... is a greater feat than doing it mid season as the lakers did..... dont you agree... and why?
+ArthurVandelay They really are. I'm not even a Golden State fan but I ended up getting League Pass just to see them play every game. I'm afraid I'm going to miss something and this was about 8 games into the season, so I knew pretty early on that they just looked different. i never thought I would pay $200 just to see one team play. Just watching highlights really doesn't do this team justice. All these highlights show mostly is Curry making threes. I'll get to that in a second, but the team is so much more than that. You really have to watch them for the entire game to appreciate how great they are and they're doing it every damn night. Going back to Curry, he's not even setting his feet on some of those shots. He's just throwing the ball up and when he's really on; the net doesn't even move. It's not like he has particular spot he favors either, he doesn't care where it's from. Man, someone is going to write a book about this team. I know it's still early, but I've never seen a team play this well every single night for such an extended period. It's almost impossible what they're doing. I never thought I would see a team comparable to the 87 Lakers in terms of entertainment, but they're getting there.
+champagneforashley yup..I told WIilbon that Tony Kornheiser was naive a couple weeks ago for thinking this Warrior team couldn't win 70 games..he just didn't understand that they are playing on a completely differnet level
Steph was great, Klay had one of his best games but for me Draymond
absolutely killed the Nets. Every time he he ran the fast brake like Magic,
they didn't know what to do
+Oluseyi S But coach Gregg- Popovich and Tim Duncan are the same.So they had changed their defence patterns many years and always make the best. There is only one LBJ now!But there were many players just like LBJ! NBA defense in the 80s/90s is also more powerful now!
+The53198 If the rules have changed—prohibiting hand checking, permitting zone defense, relaxing the illegal defense rules—then the fundamental principles have changed. You can insist that everything is the same as much as you want to; it doesn't make it so. Anyone who actually pays attention to games can tell that today's defense is different, played within a regulatory environment designed to promote more crowd-pleasing offense. And the San Antonio Spurs of 2015 (Kawhi Leonard, LaMarcus Aldridge, Danny Green) are not the Spurs of 1999 (Tim Duncan, David Robinson, Sean Avery).
+Oluseyi S I understand what you say.But they must use the same NBA defence patterns in each others' generations just like coach Gregg Popovich and Tim Duncan's San Antonio Spurs now!In fact San Antonio Spurs are still the bestin 2015~2016.
+The53198 But they don't "use the same defense patterns," so you can stop repeating the same thing over and over again now. Overloading the strong side was something Thibs brought to the NBA (with Boston, and then especially with Chicago), and that only became possible with a change to the illegal defense rules.
+Thalles Ferreira Not to mention that the Warriors are still one of the best defenses in the NBA. Last year they had the best offense AND the best defense!
Agree totally with +Oluseyi S . And what's better for watching, pleasing offense like Warriors or defense like Grizzlies? Of course the Mutombo's or Hakeem's defense was pleasant to watch, but Gasol's? No. LOL
+The53198 NBA defense was more physical in the 80s and 90s, because hand-checking was legal and the general attitude was permissive toward shows of force, but it wasn't actually better. Today's NBA defenses are actually more sophisticated—overloading the strong side, savvier traps and rotations—even as they exist within a rule set crafted to promote crowd-pleasing offense.
+Derek Thomas Ever-since Harrison Barnes was out on injury, games started to look close because of the weak 3rd quarter. I love it when Brandon Rush gets his minutes, but starters need an Iguodala type SF which is Harrison Barnes.
+Derek Thomas Look at the 4th qtr this game, they enlarged the score with Livingston, Speights, Ezeli and Barbosa on the floor. Warriors were losing almost all 3rd qtr and they insisted to play with reserves, bcause they trust their bench. That's what most of teams can't do.
