All of us who have been using Adobe Muse CC for a while are sitting, wishing, and waiting for the ability to create 100% page width slideshow to create cycling ...
My company's website a colleague originally designed uses a Muse
Composition to create the main nav of the site. The nav shows a rectangle
with fill and transparency then various links on top of it on rollover. The
rectangle is much wider than the page as suggested in this video and scroll
effects are turned on.Here's the odd thing—sometimes checking it off will
fix the horizontal scroll. Or removing some arbitrary element that should
have nothing to do with the page doing this. Why would it do this?I think
I'm going to try something. Export and inspect elements (I prefer Firefox
for this) to find out what Muse calls the div and then insert the html to
make it 100% width. I'll let you know if that fixes the issue.
Your videos are awesome, thanks for the help, I'm hoping you can answer a
question for me, I essentially want to do this (have a responsive size
slideshow) - but not at 100% width. I'd still like a gap at the sides where
I can have my logo and navigation menu.
I have a 5000k monitor and the website I'm working on looks ridiculous
because everything previews so small, yet if I look at it my second monitor
it looks too big. Any tips you can give me so that my site and slideshow
will look good on any monitor?
I've found an easier way to do this without enlarging and cropping the
image. The details are on several adobe forums if you search for jquery
'backstretch' on Muse. Basically just install the jquery plugin
backstretch, go to files to upload on Muse and select the plugin then paste
the code in when you go to insert > html object. Replace the images with
your own - to get the pathway of your images upload them to your public
folder on Dropbox and paste the link in between the ". Hope this helps.
That is exactly the feature we are all waiting for. For now, unfortunately,
I haven't found a workaround that scales the images with the browser. The
good thing about doing it this way is you don't need to predict the
vertical fitment of your images based on the different possible browser
widths.
Hi joseph, greetings from chile!
how create a carousel with 100% but the background image is independent of
front image of carousel, example on this website: www(.)paris(.)cl
the front image is a 960X402px center on the carousel and the background
image is 1460X402px 100% with on carousel!
I thought this trick would scale up the slideshow, as you increase the
browser width. which mean you'd always see the full image, no matter how
big the browser is. Image is never cropped. Is there any trick to do that ?
is there way to have slideshow captions not be fixed. where ever you place
it and what styles you apply is the automatically applied to all captions
and cant be changed.
The last thing (removing the side-to-side-slidebar) doesn't work for me. Is
there a bug in Muse? It worked fine until I updated my background. I do
exactly what you do.
I was having so much trouble with the margins on either side of my content
and I am so grateful for seeing this video! THANK YOU SO MUCH
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you even edit the css anymore in weebly? What I did is picked any
template and I have gone through several templates. Then I clicked the edit
html/css tab and it comes to the coding area except there is no coding to
edit anymore. I used to do this all the time but I can't now. So was there
an update or something? Could you please tell me how to edit the html/css
now for weebly?
Hi Jeremy, I have bought a few templates from you, will you be making some
websites that are made for Facebook? I can make them with the standard
weebly templates, but would like some properly designed Div Tag ones to
offer my clients. With Pop up headers, tumblers etc - Width cannot be more
than 800px
I "believe" flash files are pre-set in their dimensions, so I'm not
entirely sure if you can auto-resize it to respond to browsers. Maybe you
can do a Google search to see if there are any other tutorials about this,
or if anyone else who read this comment know more about it, feel free to
contribute!
hi there, unfortunately as each templates is coded differently, there is no
"1 size fit all" type of solution to this. So each template's modifications
to the codes to change the width would be different. It doesn't matter if
you are using Weebly Pro or not.
Hi Jeremy, I have a question please. Unfortuneately It doesnt work to the
Template that ive chosen, I want to know --if I upgrade my free weebly
account to Weebly Pro, can I adjust the width??
Jason - you should still be able to edit the CSS and HTML. If you can't
access it, try contacting Weebly's support team at support [at] weebly

How To Create A Full Width Header & Footer In Webplus X6
This tutorial shows you how to create a full width header and footer in webplus X6. This displays the header and footer right accross the entire page which gives ...
Yes you can actually display the master page background.. Let's say you are
on the home page and you want to display what you have set on your master
page, you need to do the following: Right click on the page name and go to
'Properties'. Then you need to click on 'Background'. Then on the right
hand side you will see a drop down menu titled, 'Background'. Select the
one that says, 'Use master page background' and that should then display
your master page. You can do this for any page..
I tried this tutorial at least 10 times and I can't get it to work, it
doesn't seem to matter whether i use a test block or a quick shape. I fill
in the color make it 2 pixels save as a picture, I then open web plus 6
open a blank page and again it doesn't matter whether I am using a home
page or a master page once I click on background and put the picture in all
i get is a little 2 pixel picture in the middle of the page. What could be
going on.
Great Tutoria. Do you have a tutorial covering how to set up products that
have the option to add personalisation and to enter the text to be added to
a product to personalise it. I have managed to set up a basic paypal mini
cart but struggling to configure products with an editible field. The
personalised option for the product being at a higher sell price, i.e.
£5.00 added for personalisation ??
Right click on the page that you want to do this on. Then select
'Properties'. Then select 'Background'. Then click on the 'Add' button.
Make sure that you have a panorama image that spans 1920px across. Then
make sure that your repeat is set to 'None' and position is set to 'Top
Center'. That should do the trick:)
Hi I have just tried it from a master page. It looks fine in the page
properties you can see the bar extend past the page like yours but when I
preview the site I have no block at all. Have I missed something. It is as
if the file is not being embedded in my site
Just tried it from a normal page and it works. So it does not appear work
at master page level. That's a shame because I wanted to use it as part of
the page header for every page with the navbar as part of it. There
probably will be a workaround I guess
my friend one more thing can you tell me ho make a feedback booton that
shoud be edge to edge fix with the browser corners and should not move with
scroll and also tell me the weight of the page thanks here is the link for
that site
This is a glitch I have discovered with WebPlus. To get around it I created
the background images within webplus and exported them as a picture. That
worked for me. If you have tried this I would suggest reinstalling WebPlus.
Hey there, sorry for the delayed response. When you insert the image, make
sure to set the 'Repeat' dropdown to 'Horizontal'. This makes it repeat all
the way across. Hope this helps.
If you can do a quick video of how you are trying to do this I would be
more than happy to show you where you might be going wrong.. You can email

Hello,
Nice video. Very concise.
I was curious about how to do this with the Responsive Theme. I don't see
an option for "Grid" under Theme Options and I can't find any other place
to adjust the with of the Content section. Do you have any tips for this?
Thanks!
