Here is the catch with radiation therapy. Your length of time (career wise)
for the exposure to radiation is limited due to possibly getting cancer, so
in a way you are risking your health for that kind of money.

Americans missing out on great jobs by going to college? Mike Rowe on The Independents

He sees people at SHIT jobs for a living. If everyone got a COLLEGE DEGREE,he'd be out of a job.Don't go to college like me and all my millionaire producer friends did. Strive for MEDIOCRITY. Work long hours at 2 shit jobs for the FRACTION of the pay of someone with a degree working 1 job..do it until you're 75 with bad knees and a bad back. Then go collect cans and live under a bridge until they find you dead, and covered with rats eating your eyeballs.Who wants to have children, travel the world and retire at 50 ?
There is no clearer proof of the skills gap in the U.S. is the fact that
thousands and thousands of people come across our southern border each year
from Mexico, Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, and beyond, to work. They
come here because the work exists.
+MIKEAL E YONGEYou don't know their exact situation. They may have enough to live on initially and they send any further earnings to their homeland. Or the employer may give them free room and board and they don't need much of their earnings in order to survive.
+MikeDunn Quite the task there. Get paid less AND send some of that money back, which means they get even less to spend. The secret to this must include being to survive on less than the comparable US citizen. Americans demand a higher standard of living and that requires more pay. Therefore, cheap labor is a non starter for that American citizen.
+Sarah Smith They come here because people are willing to hire cheap labor. The reason they can work for less than US citizens is because they can send the money back to their home country where it is worth much more than it is in the US.
No they come here because there is a weak boarder and the promise of a life hundreds of times better than what they can get in their old country which can be plagued by violence and disease.
It all started in the late 70s and early 80s with the "yuppie" craze when
everybody wanted to wear the three piece suit, work as little as possible
and get paid as much as possible,it went so far as to hijack the word
"professional" to only mean those who worked as Doctors,Lawyers, and
various corporate level positions....everyone else no matter how skilled or
experienced was just a "worker"..now we have a generation that can't do
anything of any real practical value.
No it is not nonsense, the only thing I forgot to mention is the free trade agreements that destroyed American manufacturing...I will ne a bit more gracious than you and say that that may have been the beginning but the American worker prospered for decades after the 30s and during the 40s,50s and 60s and 70s but the yuppie craze along with the destruction of blue collar jobs via the trade agreements sealed the deal.....the economy of a nation of some 300 million has to be a bit more diverse than suits and ties.
Sorry but that is just nonsense. It all started with the foundation of the US welfare state in the 1930's,40's,50's and 60's. This is what the welfare state promotes. The idea of free everything and they got people to think in that way by the student loan system. Where it is put off down the line for repayments.
hi, i'm from the Philippines, and i'm a well experienced wielder and a
carpenter, and i'm looking for a job in the US, can anyone give me a
website so i can submit my resume? thanks in advance.
+Ville John, To conclude my thought on this. Perhaps you do not see yourself leaving as a very big change in the economy. With that I recommend you learn more about idea of compound interest over many years of growth. Compound interest doesn't just apply to money, but also to available talent in an economy. To quote Albert Einstein;“Compound interest is the eighth wonder of the world. He who understands it, earns it ... he who doesn't ... pays it.”
+Richard Fry, I realize what I am talking about is a snowball effect. But it is just something that strikes me, from across the world. People from India, going to England. People from Mexico, going to the U.S. People from The middle east going to Europe. All in the name of better pay and a better life.Do not get me wrong, I realize that if my ancestors stayed where they where, I would not exist.I am just asking if the idea that you "Ville John" are actually an IMPORTANT asset to the local economy that directly effects your friends and family, that you will leave behind.
+Ville John, Thank you for the quick reply. I want to ask you a few questions, and make some comments. First I want to say, credit to you for taking the initiative and looking toward improve your options. Second, looking at it from another angle. Let's assume you are interested in improving the choices or options to your friends, family and neighbors. Wouldn't instead staying in the Philippines getting a job as a wielder, and living there actually improve things for everyone living there versus leaving the Philippines. From my point of view when you leave, all the businesses that are looking to grow and expand, by building new shops/factories/etc. will have a harder time finding wielders to do the work. Also because you leave, the money you would have made isn't spent in the local economy. The local store that would have sold you milk, water, food, etc. doesn't get your money and their overall potential income drops, so they cut the hours of their employees. The local government, doesn't get your tax money and their budget for building new schools or paying teachers salary drops. Maybe they hire one less teacher because you left. Maybe a student never gets to meet an awesome teacher, that encourages them to grow and bring some new idea or innovation to the Philippians that brings wealth.Added lets say you do leave the Philippians and decide that your personal needs are more important than the people you left behind, because you want a better life. Which in my opinion you should pursue. But now because you left, your cousin and his best friend think they should follow you because you're successful and there are very few jobs left.Slowly over time the local economy of talent is drained away. The Philippine people start to think why am I still here?
Try Australia and Canada as well they may be more suitable for you as they have more of a skilled defined Visa system than the US. If you have savings/money there are investment Visa's for the US. SO you could for example use your skills to create a furniture business or another business based upon your skills.
