I spray the flies with hair spray, it makes their wings stiffen and they crash to earth I then stand on them.

It works very well but you have to hang it by string so it can swing and rotate.

Keep your cats in the house and they won't "disappear." Being let outside isn't good for housecats at all, it can take years off their lives. And the water bag hanging may work, but aren't they an eyesore? Flyswatter, folks. You'll take them all out in very short order. Good times.

I stopped with locals in the Dominican Republic at an outdoor fish market/restaurant. It was out doors...and NO FLIES! Bags of water were hanging about every 8 ft or so. It works. I use it here in Indiana = flies gone!

Yes, I have a slidiing door by my computer room and one by my bed room. I go out these doors 20 times a day. It is a great relieve to not have flys come in when I go in and out. I used to hold my spray bottle filled with water and a touch of dish soap and shoot the flies. Now I seldome have to fall back on my fly shoot method. - - - Key Man

Yes, I can buy some plastic spiders from the dollar store and put some eyes on them. I can put some twine on them and have them hang down by each of my house doors. Then, I can put out some rotten meat and check how many flies visit each. And, I will have a control group. Thank you for the input... - - - Key Man

Yes, I have two sliding doors. I go out these doors 20 times a day. It used to be a fly fest. Now thatr it is a "No Fly Zone" I can get in and out without bringing them in. - - - Key Man
