Jeep Wrangler Unlimited After Rough Country 2.5 Inch Lift Kit With RC Performance 2.2 Shocks

+thyNOMADman Its funny you brought that up , as soon as I did the raise (2.5 lift Rubicon Express ) there was an issue with my U joint on the drive shaft. It was beginning to tear up. .The jeep was vibrating really heavy and I caught the problem on time before it was going to leave me stranding on the side of the road . So my mecanic put a much stronger u joint to withstand the torque . It's a manual transmission
Is this an automatic? I have a standard Sport version and am looking to do the same but was wondering if there were any issues you had with the drive shaft?
Im soon going to raise my jeep as well . My off road store recommends I do 2.5 lift with "Rough Country " and changing the tires to 31x10.50 R15 Michelin . Does that sound right ?
I have a 2008 jk aswell and just hit 100,000 miles and I'm worried about
future problems..do you know the lifespan of the Jk's 3.8L engine? Thanks
man sick shara I think I might get a puck lift too
With the new technology and parts in our cars i think cars should be lasting alot longer then usual, here is a thread of people posting there mileage of there jk's with way more then 100,000. //www.jk-forum.com/forums/stock-jk-tech-12/who-has-most-miles-their-jk-109145/page10/

Tires are too wide, and rims are too big and too decorative to be on a
tough truck like this. Makes it look like it's trying to be a sports car.
Smaller, less decorative rims and a narrower tire with higher profile would
suit this truck much better.
+Zeeangelofdeath You're right, there is nothing wrong with looking nice, this setup doesn't. Things should make sense when paired up. Again, just imagine Terminator or a Navy Seal in a dress, while some may argue they like that look, it just doesn't make sense.
+bluesky thats your problem, these people aren't going on a expedition or a safari they are just hitting up the the weekend trail, plus there are plenty of videos on YouTube where people have this setup and it's more than enough for off road. Nothing wrong with looking nice while you're doing something dirty. You make it sound as if the look of the truck compromises the function of the truck
+Zeeangelofdeath Doesn't have to be a rock climber. Look at all the real purpose off road vehicles, from trucks to expedition SUV. I'm talking about trucks that are actually made to fulfill an off road role, not just pretend. Shiny rims and off road make no sense. It's like dressing a Navy Seal on a mission in Afghanistan in a tiger print mini skirt and red high heel shoes!
I don't recommend installing a lift kit like this for anyone planning on
doing any off- roading. Kits with spacers and blocks like this one are just
for looks on street driving only. Otherwise, you'll most likely end up
wrapping your axle up. A new set of rear 3-6" leaf springs, as well as new
coil over shocks for the front and back are the way to go for off-roading.
ya its a long bed, the way you can distinguish between the two is the distance of the gas door from the cab, the long bed is further away and the short bed is very close to the back of the cab. In the video if you look, the gas door is further away from the back of the cab (or the front of the bed) thus making that taco, the double cab long bed variant

Lifted Chevy Colorado on 33 inch tires
5 inch combo lift kit ( 3 inch body lift with 2 inch suspension lift ) on a 2008 GMC Canyon / Chevrolet colorado with a off-road package and tactical amour group ...
No, but there not made for a Colorado, there made for a 4 door jeep wrangler, so the way we installed them was we mounted the brackets on the bottom lip of the Colorado's body and welded the brackets to the bottom of the frame so there not going any where, and they look like they were made for it, they fit perfect
I had 31s on my stock colorado and i now have 295/70R17 ( 33.3 ) inch tires with 5 inch lift and i had to do some trimming to be able to turn all the way.
