As an educator, I like the speech and everything. She has great points and
I "liked" the video, so take this with a grain of salt.
But I'd like to say something about the first line of speech, that is human
intelligence today. Yes, IQs are getting higher, but if you read Greek or
Semitic history, you'll find a lot of things that don't exist today. People
could have a working knowledge of almost 70 languages. Even today, the
people that would have low IQs in the jungles of Thailand can speak 5
languages fluently. I've met and worked with them. I'm just a monolingual,
monocultural American, and I am always amazed at human intelligence even in
"undeveloped" regions.
I like her examples of children who can learn through access to education.
Definitely making a difference.

The three legs of education are judgement, reasoning, and knowledge.
Knowledge is the easiest of the 3 and can be learned at any time. Judgement
and reasoning are much harder. But from the context of poorer nations,
knowledge is much easier to make available. I test better when I am
measured in my ability to apply knowledge rather than how much knowledge I
can memorize. I did poorly in school because of the heavy focus on
knowledge, but I did very well in college where one's ability to apply
knowledge mattered.

Hello the internet,I'm a student in high-school and I had always had great
marks,but until the last summer,I realised through online education that is
so great and open to creativity,I realised the huge restriction that is
practiced on me by the instutions of formal education and its 'dictator'
ideology.By free online education,my whole life took a new path,and I
became more interested in pure and real science,not just worried about the
test like I was before.This is a big gift that any human de

firstly quiet frankly you can go suck a fat one, for trying to suggest that
there are no scholars in Armenia... just goes to show how jealous and
vulnerable your stance is, that you stoop to such a low level.. Richard has
already been exposed, he was named and shamed in Yerevan and completely
debunked, the video is on youtube, he shamefully walked with his tail
between his legs.. named and shamed.. these charitable institutions at
grass roots are good, upper divisions serve western interests.

Richard Hovhanissian proposes that Armenians arrived to the Armenian
highlands, via phyrgian migration, this has been debunked not only in
Academic arena, but genetics. Armenians genetic tests show we are
completely indigenous to the region. Second he says that the Arartians
(Urartians) were not Armenian, a point which has been debunked on so many
occasions, its almost become pointless to bring up anymore. A pseudo
scholar, with backing from Turkish NGO groups... guess he loves his
millions.

in Armenia there are no academics? what are you an ignorant fool. Artak
Movsisyan the most famed, and on point Armenologist ever, and THE single
most respected Armenian scholar about Armenian history, completely
disagrees with many subjects that Richard proposes. You do know that the
majority of anti Armenian propaganda that turks, and azeris use, are right
from Richard Hovhanissian's books, watch falsifiers video about him, he has
been exposed, sized, and judged.. you reek of ignorance.

you're not that bored with your life, at least watch some cat videos for
heaven sakes, but no defending a debunked pseudo historian, who only has
credibility among diasporan youth who only know about Armenian genocide as
their history, of course he is credible in your eyes and community,

AGBU top leaders, Dashnak top leaders, Hunchak top leaders are all part of
the NWO, thats why they have no problem with Armenian history falsifiers
like Richard Hovhannisian, who openly distorts Armenian history.. not a
single person, or Academic in Armenia agrees with that pseudo dubious
historian Richard Hovhanissian, yet AGBU, DASHNAKS, AND HUNCHAKS all praise

Maybe what he really loves is his profession and doesn't wish to see it
made a mockery of? Stop using this "Azeris and Turks cite it" argument as
some sort of scarecrow that is automatically supposed to render his work
worthless. Do they also cite his texts on the Armenian genocide and
multivolume work on the first republic?

and most academics in Armenia are...? This historiographic strategy of
labeling those who don't agree with your interpretations as falsifiers and
Western agents reeks of Soviet Cold War propaganda.

Sure, Movsisyan can disagree with Hovannisian and argue why he disagrees
with him in a scholarly publication. But accusing historians (and entire
organizations, especially charitable ones!) of being Western agents is
ridiculous.
