+MrGlenn7788 Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment. I agree, it's a very common winter road for northern Michigan and all around the "snow belt" area. There are a lot of people that are intrigued by these videos that live in other parts of this country and other countries that don't get to see roads like this. As far as the salt, it can create the icing problems you mention and it also creates problems of vehicle rust. Not only for people that don't wash their vehicles off but for a lot of people that don't think to wash their undercarriage. I have also noticed it harms a lot of trees and vegetation along the road. Then, the deer come along the road in the spring to lick the salt and they are a hazard. Lastly, I completely agree with your mentioning of the road not a problem with good snow tires. Regrettably, there are so many people that don't think of that. On a night like this the scanner does crazy with people in the ditch. I contribute a lot of that to put tires and seizing too fast for conditions. Thanks again for your comment and thank you for watching. Have a great day.
