Building a Log Cabin in Teller Cty. Colorado, by Ralphs Home Improvements.com, learn and see how a 10 x 12 Mountain Log Cabin is built in less than 3 weeks ...
Ralph Three friends and I have started a web site focuseing on the
alternative lifestyle..We currently are in search of knowledgeble
individuals in thier feld of expertise to host a show on our video
broadcast. We have the capability of two hundred particapates in the chat
room, and all the shows has a support person available to talk with during
the show. If this interests you, please contact me at [email protected] or
call 812 838-5950, thanks and have a blessed day. Mike
Thanks for the video. I've often though about making something like this,
perhaps with some very basic type solar electricity (a couple panels), a
fireplace and some passive solar heating design element. Wow, the doctor
really wants to rough it over the weekend if it has no power and no
bathroom. Is it tremendously more difficult to double the size with respect
to the logs? I'd prefer two loft bedrooms. BTW: I remember seeing the print
ads for Alpine Logs...
@houseoffire72 This is true. They will take your land if you don't pay
because a deed of title to land only pass as "color of title". Once you
have updated the original land patent under your name and filed it with the
county and recieve the allodial title from the governent then the land is
yours FOREVER and cannot come under collateral attack. You would like this:

Depends on where you live. Some tree hugger may object, some may not. Also
depends on how big you want your cabin and whether or not you'll need
permits. If you get a permit, cutting down your own trees will not be
allowed. In most cases building with logs have to be certified for
structural integrity. All I'll say at this time is that if you do it your
way it will take you a very long time.
I wanna see the following spring time video of it sitting at the bottom of
that hill after a seasons frost and thaw. 6" lag bolts? Really??watch any
other cabin vid, NONE are built like this! Those 2x8's alone are heavy
enough to pull that cabin off those tiny footings...first snow probably
moved that whole structure...
I always dream of having a log cabin in my property. But how can I
specifically assure that the woods or the materials being used to build log
cabins are ecological and environmentally friendly? This might be a
question especially when I will purchase a ready to build cabin.
@Megaduck72 How does a guy go about getting allodial title??? People who
think they own their homes/land really dont if they still pay a property
taxe which is just basicly a rent, if ya dont pay they take it from you etc
This is really cool. I grew up on Bison avenue in Cripple Creek as a kid. I
havent been back there for many moons. I thought it was all casinos by
now.lol You wouldnt happen to know any Andromeda's out there would you?
@bottomlands Can U believe that? I was thrilled.. The doctor has his
mountain getaway and I made money.. Isnt that the American way..plus I get
to go hunting in some the best woods and trials Colorado has to offer
Hey Joe.. The company Alpine Log.. is gone with the wind.. Another casualty
of obamanomics.. sorry to say. If I were you just Google swedish cope logs
I'm sure theres someone out there that could help
i had to hike in 2 miles, up hill the whole way to build my cabin. Also
used 100% all hand tools to hew in each and every single last log. it took
two days just to haul in the wood stove.
We are Insured and licensed builders and we do everything according to
code, whether it has a permit or not and if its off the grid. It has to
safe for people to use.
could you just chop down tree's in the woods to build a cabin or do you
have to treat the wood? i want to make a cabin with nothing but a saw
hammer and nails
@thecoffeedude9 I plan on buying land and updating the land patent. So if
you have done this it would be a big help to others who are looking to do
this.
It is even better when you make a video to actually know what you're
doing...

Wow that meat looks so juicy and tender. I want to try moose meat but I

one that is selling? Because I couldn't any.
+Billy Rioux Thanks billy. I searched it in the internet but it seems ban to sell moose meat in Manitoba. I guess I will have to move in Montreal so I can buy moose meat and meet Billy Rioux in person hehehe :D
