What do you do if the water pump will not turn so you can get to the other bolts? Is there something you can use to make it loosen up so you can turn it? It's the cover itself that will not turn. Any suggestions will be extremely helpful. Thanks.

what size were those bolts again? I need to buy them does auto zone have them? We had to cut them off.

Just for reference, this is the identical procedure for removing the mirror on the early e46 models as well. The 1999-2000 models use this type of mirror, not the "standard" one on 2001-06 models. The main difference is how to disconnect the wires. The process described in most e46 videos is not the same and won't work if you are one of the few who owns the older model!
