An effective anti-aliasing filter for the Canon 5D Mk2
Director-Cinematographer, Glenn Przyborski talks about his experiences testing and evaluating a new optical anti-aliasing filter from Mosaic Engineering, for the ...
Interesting but too many drawbacks! I also noticed the mirror stays locked
up whene the filter is in place, I wouldn't use this filter unless the
scene absolutely required it, then again I don't own a 5d Mark II, nor have
the money for such a filter. I'm really interested about the physics of it
though.
I love the D750, the only down fall to it is the inclusion of the AA and
why I am torn on what to buy the D810 or the D750 I like the D750's size
weight and I personally really enjoy the tilting screen for low shots which
I do a lot of, some one was saying they left it in for better video, which
could be true but seeing as I have never used the video feature on any of
my cameras its sort of would be a let down if that was the reason.
uhmm sensors don't 'naturally come' with an AA filter, so it can't just be
'left' in there, it's actually 'placed' in there, so the decision was to
ADD a filter not LEAVE IT in there. Pixel density has everything to do with
it, at 24mp FX moire is still an issue, and the lack of 'sharpness' is a
ridiculous argument as the images taken by that sensor are as sharp as
anyone would ever need them to be so it's a non-issue.
Yeah, I have to agree with pixel density being the reason Nikon kept the AA
filter on the Nikon D750 camera. As someone who owns a Nikon D750 I have to
say that I have no complaints about the sharpness of the images I get from
my Nikon D750, in fact I don't really have any complaints about my Nikon
D750 at all. Interesting topic though, thanks for bringing it up.
Others on the net have indicated that Nikon left the AA filter on this D750
body is to make the camera a video superstar as well as a still camera
star. It is much harder to remove aliasing from video than from still
photos. So if Nikon wanted the camera to be the best DSLR at video, then
the AA filter is necessary to improve the video image quality.
Hi, I have an issue, my new digital camera, has no IR filter. I already
opened, and there is nothing. do you know if this is possible?. I mean I
just got it.
+FlyingMerf With no filter to purchase, this tutorial, is almost pointless. Buyng a proper filter its fundamental. So please, tell us where did you found that filter! It's a lens filter properly cutted with the precise dimension of the original IR Filter?
James,The filter I used is not available for purchase. However, we are working on a new and improved filter that will be made available when I'm satisfied with the performance. It will be announced here when it is ready.

Dear Mr ElectroBOOM I was wondering if your are using 120v AC 60Hz and
touching it and it hurts, would you touch the european 230v AC 50Hz? I know
the American setup has more current, would that be a factor? P.S. I love
your videos.
+Viðar Þórðarson I have touched both accidentally and they both hurt extremely awfully! The current capability of systems is not a factor here because the current through the body is much smaller than what the systems can deliver. So higher voltage should hurt more, although according to my Frequency versus Pain experiment, the 60Hz should hurt more than 50 Hz.

Recently we looked at the new Nikon D3300; in this video I compare it to the older D3200. While both these cameras offer similar core features such as a 24 ...
Hi Jeremy,
Really appreciated your review.
Just wanted a quick suggestion from you. I am thinking of buying a DSLR for
the first time, so obviously I am a beginner, and not really planning to
become a professional photographer. Just want to take nice photos.
So I have narrowed down to 2 options Canon EOS 100D or Nikon D3200. By
Budget is around 450 dollars. Which one should I go for? Any suggestions?
As already said, I don't plan to upgrade in near future, Just want to take
good photos. Thanks
+Samiullah Khawaja I feel the D3200 gives better quality for the cost. The only advantage of the SL1 in my opinion is the smaller size and touchscreen. If you have larger hands I recommend trying the SL1 first; in my largish hands I find the SL1 extremely uncomfortable to operate.
Hi Jeremy, I am a photography enthusiasts, have taken classes some years
ago although I haven't used a SLR camera since the digital era began. My
last camera was a Nikon N60 film. I just purchased the Nikon 3200 and
wanted to know the difference between the 3300 and 3200. Thank you for
sharing the info. I eager to start shooting again.
Hey Jeremy , great videos man . There is an offer where i live and i can
