It's been forever, but I'm finally back with a brand new Facts on Authors video! Enjoy! Thank you all so much for watching! You! You right there are awesome!
Fun fact. I grew up in Salinas and only moved away in 2009. I love John
Steinbeck and am glad to have had the opportunity to grow up in that area.
I wouldn't want to live there now, hence the moving, but it was a good
experience. Especially for a book lover like me. The junior college in
Salinas, where I attended, offered an English class solely on John
Steinbeck. I'm so glad to have taken that class because I hadn't really
read any of his books until then. Awesome video, Sam. I know you filmed it
a while ago, but I just saw it and had to watch. :)
Did he say they're the strongest in America history. hummm, you got to be
kidding me, what about the native Indians, and black slaves that built
this country, and was murdered, hung, rape, "just because'?
+Mary Roberts I have to tell you, Mary, that not everybody wants to live in the United States, seemingly or other wise. Most people in the world other than the poor and wretched are quite happy living in their own countries. Often after watching TV news shows or reading their daily newspapers people living all over the world breathe a sigh of contented relief, grateful that they are not Amerians and that they do not live in the US.
+Being great ??????sorry, whites built this country, ie, the western civilazation, evil or not, seems everybody wants to come here now. slaves were but a few, indians never built anything anyone wanted, its always been about the real estate, Rome burning
To hear this Englishman and not that I hate Englishmen and I absolutely
love the English countryside and its pubs, but please, Melvyn Bragg, if you
are going to stand in America in an Oklahoma cornfield for Steinbeck's sake
and name the book that put this great story on the global map, why oh why
did you give Americans such short shrift in your very annoying
pronunciation
of the title: The Grapes of WROTH? WROTH? WROTH? Ignorance in action.
+Nancy Valle Really!! You show just how small you are by making such an inane comment like this. If you knew anything about John Steinbeck you'd know that he would call you out for just such a remark. Please! Grow up!
Steinbeck betrayed his old comrades & supporters when he endorsed the
Vietnam War. At the same time, he alienated a younger generation - full
house. With Charlie Obanana, he put on a penguin suit & accepted the Nobel
accolade of the ruling fat rats. 'Non-political' literati (including Melvyn
Bragg) please note. You can sell your soul at any time, but the deal is
irreversible & irrefutable.
+Almost30 Almost30 Steinbeck flirted with left-wing radicalism when it was popular, but dumped it when he found a better-paid welcome in the fat rat Establishment. He was a great writer, whose soul was proof against e/thing except fame & success. I won't lose any sleep over what you/anybody else think about that.
no one is perfect...When he visited Vietnam, he died short after that visit. This is for me true greatness, to accept your mistake and not survive its consequences.

Idol loving morons she probably has to teach all day engaged. However some
sweater puppy enhancements would help to.
Just read the fucking book. Put down your twilight harry potter trash and
read something worth while. This book isn't that difficult to understand.
It's a simple, but amazing story.
