Was that all done in a single charge of the car? I have an oval fat track
that I bought for my stepson. He never played with it and when my wife and
I split up, i got the Sizzlers track. lol Mine doesn't run long enough to
do a lap on your track though, probably needs the small battery replaced.
+CrispyBacon Yes, the car went around that track over 1.5 times on a single charge. The battery in your car probably does need replaced. Search for the user tomtom4911 on eBay. I buy my batteries from him and as you see they work well for me.
+overkillRC We used a car that wasn't fast on purpose as faster cars tend to wreck more. Also realize there is scale involved here. From where the car is first placed on the track to the first turn is 8 pieces of straight fat track (16ft). The typical Sizzlers fat track box contained 6 pieces of straights (12ft). Assuming you had one typical box of fat track as kid, your total track was 18ft in length (12ft of straights and 6ft of turns). The car in the video traveled over 20ft by the time it left the first turn.
Hotslots132.com SCALEXTRIC TRACK CONNECTION FIX
Hotslots Slot Car Shop video how to fix connection issues on Scalextric slot car track.
There is nothing wrong with your set, that's the whole challenge of slot car racing. You can't just pull the trigger on the controller all the way. You have to learn how to ease off on the corners, and on those 'loop the loops' go full throttle, then slow down for the corner right after it. I am a fairly fit guy, and I still tired myself out getting up to put the cars back on track so many times at first. Just squeeze the trigger like 1/3 or 1/2 way at first, and try some laps like that (but you'll still need full throttle for the loops). As you go along, you'll figure out just when you can squeeze all the way.
For the money I paid, it's a pretty cheap entry point to a lot of good laughs so far. Some of the Carerra sets I've seen seem to go for a few more bucks. They are even nicer still, though. This one here is pretty much identical, technologically, to the old AFX set I had as a kid.
