I can understand why they had to do it. Digital release is cheaper and Ace Attorney games have always been niche games. That said, it was an unwise move on Capcom's part. You need only look at the comments to know people are against it. People are upset with digital due to EA and Microsoft's recent disasters. It would have been better to take a small hit to the bottom line than risk more bad publicity.

Capcom, what's wrong with you? They used to be one of my favourite game developers, but now they're being disloyal to their fans out of Japan like myself. I'm a fan of Ace Attorney and was keen on getting this game, but now Capcom has fucked up big time. Saying that, Konami are more bothered about crappy PES instead of Castlevania or MGS for us European fans.

doesn't help , that Capcom has canceled almost every game that they been working on lately! you start proving that you're not going to cancel everything maybe we might believe you Capcom! and I heard them trying to cancel smash Brothers because of mega man! but Nintendo kicked the SHIT out of them because they said you're not canceling a game we may!

The Ace Attorney games do not sell well in the West. Capcom is obviously minimising loses by cutting out the second hand market. I'm happy we are getting it at all! unlike *cough*Yakuza5,ValkyriaChronicles3*cough*

it's only about 4500 blocks, pretty small and manageable. I've been resisting buying any eshop titles for it. Also, you're a little late on this xD

It's weird to classify AA as a text adventure game series. If it is, then it may be the best selling franchise in that genre. Consider that capcom!

@thewizard098 they claimed it was from low sales compared to the cost of importing the game. Still, they did after seeing thousands of fans of the series showing support say "I'll be having some conversations tomorrow with our roadmap planning team on this topic given the feedback here. I have a few ideas. We'll see what happens." Still, the more people continuing to support this cause, the more likely capcom will look for means to bring the game to NA region like digital distribution.
