Nano QX Stagility mode to do flips and tricks more easily
This is a video showing how to program a Spektrum DX6i to a Horizon Hobby Blade Nano QX to switch from Stability to Agility, and back to Stability mode, ...
Hi George, I am new to RC as of Dec 2014. However I fly my quads almost
everyday. Have a Nano QX 3D (lots of fun!) using a DX6 radio. Im very
interested in learning walk overs and tic tocs. I am guessing I need to
customize the settings and functions more then the standard downloaded
ones. Can you point me in the right direction? Thank you
+Michael Moody I can... give the nano to your kid or some other kid .. then get a QAV or ZMR 250 and start FPV flying.. you will never go back to the toys.. :)
+gemster18 Hobby King has the LED backlight for 4.99 and there are a few videos there and also ones on youtube that show how to do it and even to add a dedicated toggle switch for it. instead of killing batteries sooner..
He is using negative EXPO on his dual rates for elevator and aileron. He recommends "-100" on both. I have found "-55" to be more than sufficient on all my Spectrum transmitters for this quad. One thing that is even more beneficial is to change your servo travel on aileron and elevator to 150 for DX6 and above and 125 for DX6i. Both top and bottom values. This in combined with come negative expo will allow you to flip this thing full throttle very quickly or conventionally flip pulling back on throttle more quickly also.
I like the concept, but I would like to offer the advice to set your D/R to
125% and be sure to drop your throttle most of the way. In this video it
looks like you're trying to throttle through the roll, being that you're
shooting to the ground as soon as your Nano goes inverted. I was able to
master flips and rolls on a quad by getting a Game of Drones Hiro and
beating the heck out of it until I mastered it. This evening, after having
my Nano QX for over a year now, I attempted to roll it, and with success!
However, I am curious as to how you destroyed your motors on your
Nano...I've beat the heck out of mine over the past year or so and the only
thing I've replaced is the canopy...and that was just personal preference!
+Zsavage1 The nQX does not have any physical servos that can be damaged by extended servo travel. Increasing the travel adjust on the nQX will just allow the flight controller to receive further endpoints, resulting in stronger pitch and roll when the sticks are at their full extent.
Dual rates on the DX6i only go up to 100%. You can get additional response by using negative expo or better yet increasing servo travel on aileron and elevator.
Is the signal/reception any better with the dx6 and simular compared to the
stock rtf radios? All of the features are nice to have but my main issue is
my fpv nano is glitching really bad indoors. I would imagine it cannot be
worse but is any quality in signal and range worth the $200? Any one who
has flown both I would love to hear from you.
The transmitter is more important than the heli. Don't waste your money on the DX6i. The DX6 is worth every penny when you learn how to use it. Cheers.
In acro flapps change mode. In heli pitch changes mode. Every time you exceed 50% pitch in heli mode. On DX6i heli mode is the only way to have a throttle curve, which is a gotta have thing on this heli. As far as mode changing. Its all about the programming. The lack of assignable switches it limiting on the DX6i though.
Sweet and interesting stuff
I have this nano qx 3d and it's a fun flyer. Is it normal to have all those
annoying lines in your fpv video transmission
+tntneon ok that's great to know. , as I'm just getting into the fpv scene and im overwhelmed with all the fpv gear that's available . I have this nano qx 3d and the 200qx and they are awesome as well as 8 heli I'm ready to put some gear on., also thanks for the reply and be blessed too and happy flying

I got this and had it for about a week.(sent it back) I wanted it to work
good, but when I flew it, the video in the googles would keep going fuzzy
and/or cut out completely for a few seconds at a time. The range was very
limited and the quad itself was very unimpressive. and way overpriced. All
in all, I`m very sorry , but I give it two thumbs down...:(
Too much info. for example we know what's on the 17 instruction sheets it
comes with. Secondly and my biggest gripe was
He never mentioned how it was to actually fly it with the glasses. The most
important part. That was the reason I watched the video. I wanted his
opinion on the fpv aspect of the quad.?????
+Overtherainbow Dan in order for head tracking to work you need 2 servos to move the camera on the quadcopter/plane, and a way to connect the goggles to your radio.
+Stephenson Airplanes So, that means that I would get full range control on this quad with the DX6I? Or the range is the same one 150M no matter which radio you use?
No, i don't think it will. You need a "4+ channel DSM2®/DSMX® transmitter" try this one or search for this type on amazon. All Radios ://www.spektrumrc.com/Air/Radios.aspxRecommend by me for this nano Quadcopter://www.bladehelis.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=SPMR4400//www.spektrumrc.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdId=SPMR4400

you didn't even fly it inverted. thats the whole point behind the design of
this quad. and you failed horribly at showing the viewers why they want it
in the first place. I'm sorry but I'm going to have to go thumbs down on
this video. Just had to say why. Every quad has ONE thing about it that's
unique, and there was not one flight demonstration to show it.
Chris,I appreciate your feedback. I will have to do in the near future a video of more flights. Just trying to go for all-around comparison versus the other Nano products.
