@brady3043 lol why match them up because they have similiar backgrounds?Is that fair to base it off of that? & I would also bet anyday that Batman could take Iron man in combat.He's a better tactition & martial artist. He also has all the weapons he would need to defeat him.You matched Phoenix & Wonder woman because they are two popular girls but how do you know she could defeat her? there are other popular girls such as super girl & power girl.Bat girl or Huntress could defeat her with stealth.

Actually your wrong bro, Rogue cannot handle absorbing powers of those much more powerful then her. She has tried it before and almost killed herself in the process. There is an episode where she tries to absorb Juggernaut's powers, and she goes into a coma, and as strong as Juggernaut is, his powers are nothing compared to superman, so I doubt she would be able to absorb superman's powers without getting seriously injured or even killed. I love rogue but she's nothing compared to supes.peace

Thanos has destroyed the universe and was able to remake it. He can be anywhere and everywhere at once. He can control time and also turn you into a baby or an old man of one million years old. He is aware of the entire universe and every being in it. He has the power to warp reality. He literarly married Death herself. He pwned every cosmic god from the Living tribunal to Galactus and could do it simultaneously even your stupid silver age superman is no match

Actually Marvel has a tougher hero or villian for every DC hero or villian. Ironman-Batman cause theyre both rich and made thier own suits. Phoenix-Wonder woman are you serious she would obliterate wonder woman. Hulk vs superman hulk would kill him just as doomsday did but Hulk would still live in the end. BTW Marvel could put Rouge or that kid that cancels powers againgst the entire DC and kill them all just by a touch, none of them heal like wolverine.

Take it up with God or whatever supreme being you believe in. Hulk lost to Superman in Amalgam years ago. Hulk can't fly, has no heat vision, not even close to the speed of Flash (Supes and Flash raced to a draw). I mean Superman is always Superman, Hulk is only Hulk when he gets angry. Superman could just freeze him then toss his ass into the sun = Hulk dead. Superman's powers are so far above Hulk this isn't even a legitimate discussion.

Also, you are making it sound like Thanos will be holding back and Supes won't?!? If ANYTHING, it will be Thanos on offensive and going hard because he can take Supes's hits all day and be causually annoyed while Superman could be KO'ed by a few hits from Thanos.

Thoas wanted to become a farmer how is that bad ass? hey had a chance to win three times with unbelievable power items and failed everytime. Darkside doesn't even bother with them. Thaos failed and then said all he wanted was a slow calm life on a farm...that is not bad ass owning a planet that holds you up as a god now that is a little more bad ass in my book.

I dont know what version of the M encyclopedia you have but Thanos has been in a lot of comics. Yeah I know Supes was the pioneer in the Super hero department but how does that change the fight. Don't change the subject too oh hes cool becuase hes the first mainstream super hero. The fact remains, Thanos still pwns in a fight and nothing changes that.

I've read this story of The Infinity Gauntlet... All the heroes died trying to do battle with him... you name it: Hulk, avengers, xmen, spider man. Just no match for Thanos. But the only one who defeated Thanos was Warlock. Warlock has this Gem in his forehead and there Thanos was trapped... As if it was some kind of eternal prison.

Thor loses to Thanos after a decent fight. Hulk is too 1 dimensional of a character to deal with Thanos's mutated Eternal powers that are also enhanced with mysticism, science, and immortality. Superman loses to Thanos probably more than he does to Darkseid. Wonder Woman gets every bone in her body shattered to dust by Thanos.

I don't see the argument. This game footage clearly shows Thanos w/the Infinity Gauntlet, making him at the same power level as Galactus. Without the gauntlet, he would not be an equal and prob might have to resort to using a cosmic cube and other stuff. & yes there are many beings stronger than Thanos but most don't care what happens to the universe such as the Stranger. OC the Tribunal reigns above them all. Even Adam with the Gauntlet could not rock the tribunal but Adam was never a threat.

@Uberboy07 The IG is a Gauntlet with the 6 Infinity Gems put into it (Thanos Right hand here). The Gems are the remnants of an omnipotent being, that committed suicide due to being 'forever alone' (meme lol). Each gem itself gives one basically god-like power, though only in their specific area, e.g. the space gem makes you exist anywhere at the same time and stuff like that. If all of them are united, you're one of the most powerful beings of the universe. no idea 'bout the hearth though.

In the infinity saga there were only 4 "mortal" beings that ever walked up to Galactus and received any type of respectable or dignified response, Thanos was one of them, Thanos has equipment and made adjustments to Galactus's, with not but a glance from Galan and nothing more,. Thanos with Out the ultra power items has proven he has the power to stand toe to toe with Galan and win with a 78% probability, as he has defeated cosmic entities before .

FF only ever stopped him due to either Ultimate Nullifier or by reasoning with him. If they didn't have the Nullifier and Galactus wouldn't want to listen, he would easily beat the Fantastic four. The only time that the Avengers have ever defeated Galactus was when he was extremely weak. And the FF helped them. If Galactus was at his normal power level he would beat them all with ease. If you think differently, then you obviously don't know anything about Galactus.

@RedTyrant2 With the infinity Gauntlet he took Galactus, Kronos, Eon, Mephisto, Mistress Love, Sire Hate, Stranger, Lady Death, Lord Order, Master Chaos, and two Celestials, ALL AT ONCE. With the Heart of the Universe (or Heart of the Infinite), he took pretty much EVERY being ALL AT ONCE. He won both times. I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't know most of these characters

Anyone hear ever read Thanos Quest books? They are an awesome read and you will be glued to it because of Thanos intelligence and might. It leads to the Infinity Gauntlet which in my opinion of the best mini-series Marvel ever released. He just might be one of my fav villains ever from comics or movies alike including Darth Vader.

And Thanos can't beat galactus(or even hurt him) without any gems or other magical objects like the cosmic cube or something like that to help him.

Without the Gauntlet, Thanos once blasted Galactus to the other side of a planet. Yes, he wouldn't beat Galactus in the long run without the IG - not even close. With, Thanos was simply the most powerful single being in any comic universe (short of One Above All; who was basically the Judeo-Christian God).

Thanos has absorbed the Heart of the Universe, able to fully use it's energies, as his mutated body can manipulate energy for any personal desire , and in turn absorbed the Tribunal. Then he destroyed all of existance. Then reverted everything. At least, in one timeline he did.

He didn't, he was defeated by the revived heroes and the cosmic deities after Nebula takes the gauntlet from Thanos after he leaves his body to become an embodiment of the universe. Adam Warlock takes possestion of the gauntlet and Thanos appears to commit suicide.

Just watched Avengers 2 last night. Can't wait to see what they're gonna do with 3 and the infinity gauntlet. No idea how the Avengers are gonna beat Thanos. They might have to write the movie with them trying to prevent him from getting all the stones but how would they even beat Thanos if he had just one of the stones? I I think Vision has the mind stone embedded in his forehead.

+Ardrianne Torrance Earth 1 was the modern Earth and stories, Earth 2 was the Golden Age Earth where the characters had aged, married , and even died. Earth 3 was where the evil versions of the Justice League lived. Earth X was where the Nazis had won WW 2. Earth S was Captain Marvel and the Shazam Family lived . Maybe DC should have tried to attract more female readers and the CoIE would never have been needed........

Though I noticed that you forgot that Alexander Luther Jr. from Earth-3 is a being of both Matter and Anti-matter and he also is the guy that keeps the portal open for New Earth and the Superheroes from new earth to get back to there universe. And Earth 1 Wonder woman is actually the one who Kinda, Sorta dies but was remade into a baby made out of clay and then appears on Themyscira.
