The brief video underplays the importance of night shift working. London's
economy is disproportionately dependent on the global finance sector, which
now runs in a frenzy round the clock.
It's not just that workers need to be awake during the wee hours - there
are many of them, and their purchasing power is significant, creating a
market which had not existed in the past. More crucially, London might not
maintain its position on the totem pole of international finance if bright
money manipulators instead were to consider a posting there as a hardship.
.
Its pretty bizzare that only now are we letting the tube run 24hrs even if
only at the weekends. People should be able to use public transport any
time of the day or night especially if we need people to stop using private
transport such as cars
I remember being in London in the early 90s as a young west coast Canadian
and being surprised how dead London was by midnight. There was little
point in staying out late
It may also be something to do with the complete lack of decent clubs and
bars in the west end. Westminster Council seem intent on making London as
boring as possible.

The small, but influential group including yourself Dave, are forces of good and experimental progression. Keep doing your thing! It's helpful and enlightening to people :)
He's good at Marketing don't get me wrong but I'm just not comfortable with
some of his claims. I could go into detail but just read this.
//fourhourworkweek.com/2007/04/29/from-geek-to-freak-how-i-gained-34-lbs-of-muscle-in-4-weeks/
Praying onto people's extreme naivety with factually wrong stuff I'm not a
fan of.
Did you even try? I gained 25 pounds in 2 months by doing that. I went from 155 to 180, I NEVER went over 160 in my life before. For me, the secret was eating eating eating. Ya its not 4 weeks, but in Tim's case he probably regained some of the weight he lost before. I probably can get it done in 1 month in the future instead of 2 (muscle memory)
I followed his 4-hour body book and did his 4 brazil nuts, 20 almonds "nitro boost" protocol and had some spinach and coconut milk and then proceeded to have it all forcibly eject itself from my rear end at high velocity. Needless to say it did not have it's desired effect.
No shit that's pretty sick, he's not mediocre. I do think he is a nerd though, a super nerd maybe, but a nerd non the less. I mean where are the non conformists, the people who don't live by the rules. The Dimebag's, the Tupac's the Tas Pappas's. Look him up if you ever want to see someone who has hit the top of his field whilst saying fuck you to the system the whole way.
+Rossboe1And when did Tim Ferriss become considered mediocre? I don't think tame people learn Abusame (a traditional japanese tradition of riding horseback with an bow and arrow and hitting several targets in a short amount of time) in a week when they are tame and mediocre -- let alone all the other shit he does.
They kept writing about him, so eventually I checked him out. Always has something inspiring to say. For instance that "Make good art"-speech he mentioned. Just checked it out. I can relate a lot to what Tim says, since I am an author too. In fact, my very first novel is being published today in real bookstores. Ain't that great? :) I think authors can learn a lot from trailblazers like him. The landscape is changing and we only have our intuition as a compass really. He does what he loves. That's why he succeeds.
Im not trying to hate or be negative, but what happen to the people with balls, the people with passion. Whats all this shit about trying to tame your life???? Thats basically what it is, fucking being tame. What about being wild once in your lives. Like Bill Hicks said "When did banality and mediocrity become a good image for your children? I want my children to listen to people who fucking ROCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Peter Joseph was possible the best guest you've had on. Just because the guy is up there with Chris Hedges as one of the smartest people around, and is one of the few people who is actually coming up with a plan to change the world for the better.
I bought this book after watching this episode originally. I showed the book to my mum. She was like isnt he fucking wonderful, isn't his life so fucking perfect, hasn't he got every thing worked out. She was obviously being sarcastic. I thing the guy is very interesting, but I thing she was right in a way. He is a bit to polished for me to really admire. I like someone with some heart, someone with some balls, like Dimebag Darrel, or Phil Anselmo or Chris Hedges. Actually you should try and get pulitzer prize winner Chris Hedges on your show. This is a guy who fights the power.
His book 4HWW. You're right, this was one of the better interviews with Tim. You don't need to feel bad for Tim though in the money department. He seems to be one of the first investors in Uber, a company that has done pretty well since this interview. Kudos to you for this show, this interview let me discover it.
Ahhh! For a second i thought you had him back on the show for the second time, bevor i realized what this is... Definitely a great Interview though! Please try to get him on again! I first discovered T Ferris because a friend gave me his first book. His blog and book introduced me to a whole new world of interests and interesting people. I think i discoverd Rogan through Ferris and trough rogans podcast i found yours...
