So what if the Americans or other nations don't want your banana, you can't hold it against them. Other nations have to take care of their economy as well. You black men will always find an easier way to make money, no matter whom you hurt in the long run. With so much land, you can produce other fruits and vegetables that are beneficial to your country and others for survival. Start planting herbs that are beneficial to make medicine to take care of your illnesses, such as aids in your ancestor's country Africa, and not marijuana to make you high. Ultimately, it's not really about America as 'bad guy'. To me, it's the 'big money boys'--large corporate, military, finance and foundation entities that dominate the globe, and whose raison d'etre is to expand their respective spheres of power. For decades, they have largely used the USA as their vehicle, but when it breaks down America as bully-boy for the internationalists will be replaced. The men that are in control could care less about Americans, or anyone else for that matter.

Sorry bra, but you are the one sounding like an idiot. They have to grow what they can for monitary support. Just because something will grow does not mean it will grow well or that you can make a living off of it. And just because they are what you call a "bushhead" dose not make them stupid, I would say they are much smarter than you to be able to live like that and survive. lol... i see that peoples smoking mj are made a specific "smokers" atmosphere, when they smoke it isnt matter who is who, or what is what. Peoples also donnt want to fight, smokers are less agressive. at least in my neighborhood. Congress is so tied up in fighting the war on terror thus neglecting the drug war.Again, with the Chiquita banana company (U.S) dominating world trade stage, I think this causes Caribbean banana producing countries to suffer even more.What more could they do to earn a living besides planting and pushing the dope up north.Drugs hands down is a profitable industry, but consider the bad to follow the good.Something must be done.

Years ago, this issue came up on Newsnight on the BBC, and the representative of the US buyers was almost in tears, because they only had 95% of the world market, and they wanted the other 5% which Caribbean islands were allowed to preferrably sell into the EU. Remember that Chiquita today is in fact the United Fruit of old. They have 'workers' in South America, instead of small family farms like in the Caribbean.

What did these people do before they got dependant on international trade? They lived happily of the land. They did not depend on money at all. It is sad but an inevitable fact that money control every aspect of the human world. It is a climate thing. Both grow very well in their climate, One is legal and the other illegal. As a choice they would rather grow things legaly and make money to live but since that market is being taken away from them they start to grow the illegal crops. But both should be legal!
