+Turnermi3r  It is interesting that many people use DIY category tools (such as the Ryobi battery drill) for trade use, thereby voiding the warranty (under fair usage for expected/designed lifespan for the category). Some unscrupulous people display their gall & lack of conscience by immorally/dishonestly claiming under a warranty. Tool manufacturers examine wear patterns of such tools to easily determine excessive usage for that particular design category, & reject dodgy claims. Repair bills are offered in such situations. It is surprising that so many people do not understand that a warranty period has absolutely no correlation with expected lifespan (usage of a commodity, be it a tool or a box of wax coated waterproof matches). Warranty basically covers defective manufacture. If a (hypothetical) box of matches failed to light in the 9th year of a 10 year warranty, when wet fishing/camping (& had not been abused by wax melting in hot sun, etc) then claim valid. If I use all of my matches on first day of purchase, I have no claim. Similarly, if I prematurely wear my bearings out, etc by excessive (trade) use, then I have no claim.
