The amateur rider is a natural plus he rides for the right reason passion!
Froome is my favorite rider now he reminds me of Coppi!
I just don't get how Froome was not aware of Mt. Vontoux that is strange or
plain ignorance....
2011-podium in the vuelta 2012-2nd in the TDF(would have won if he wasn't helping wiggins) If you don't believe he is clean then you can't possibly believe the rest of the top pro's are clean either. If you like the sport stop dragging it down with negative comments like that, he won a great TDF why can't you people just accept it and enjoy watching it
Yes I am not disagreeing with that, only the fact that you said froome was at 25% (maybe he was because its only show anyway but thats a different story). There's little doubt that it would be an understatement to say that a froome in peak condition would absolutely anihilate any amateur. However even pros can only be in peak condition for a brief period of time - thats just how the body works since certain training stimuli loose effectiveness after a few weeks. I think in the most recent armstrong documentary there was some data of lance released. Not sure wether I remember those numbers correctly but I believe he did a mountain timetrial performanc testing for 30mins twice, the first one was more than 2 months out and he had a sustained power output of 5 point something watts per kg and the second performance testing was only a few weeks before the 2009 tour and he then was able to sustain ca 7w/kg. Again not entirely sure wether I remember those numbers correctly, the important point is just thereś a pretty large difference between a pro in the offseason and a pro peaking for a contest. Well anyway, I hope you enjoy the 2014 tour, hasnt looked that exciting in a long time if you ask me! :D
Right, and I get that they are good, but that guy is not racing on a pro level for a reason. Chris froome dropped everyone on this stage, including Quintana (who is probably the best climber right now). I'm not saying this guys isn't good, but there is no way he would drop froome. Just not gonna happen. Not on this beast of a mountain.
BS man you are way underestimating amateur roadracing. I dont believe that froome was almost dropped, either.. however you are way understimating road amateurs (not hobby racers ofc). Its pretty serious buisness... highest amateur cat road racers are basically semi-prefessionals, they even get paid by their teams if they're good and ontop of that the races have decent price money. Ofcourse froome is a class of his own. However I think that many highest cat road racers could finish a tdf stage in the peloton or groupetto...just not over the course of 3weeks repeatedly....
if your going to diss sport and the people in it, due to your lack of belief in their clean riding then please dont come to videos like this. No on here wants to hear the negativity. He is innocent until proven guilty
25% effor max?? With or without doping ?? Maybe without the secret behind the Sky performance, that amateur could really dropp him. I remember Froome some Giro´s ago being disqualified for holding onto a car in the Mortirolo.
